Hern Apperance[edit]

Not at mill on visit prior to kill order quest. Read other accounts stating that only Hert lives there. Does he go somewhere else or is he created as the quest is accepted? — Unsigned comment by Bwross (talkcontribs) at 16:05 on 23 November 2011‎

I seem to be experiencing the same thing. I paid a visit to the mill before joining the brotherhood and waited around all day, and at night, after going into the cabin with Hert, Hern is nowhere to be found. --SlyKhajiit 00:52, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
True and fixed. He does not appear until the quest has started. The Silencer has spokenTalk 01:06, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Residence[edit]

Could you use Half-Moon Hill as a house provided that you kill both Hern and Herst in the DB? Are there any non-respawning containers? — Unsigned comment by Kharwog (talkcontribs) at 22:04 on 12 November 2012

The location itself respawns, but there are some non-respawning containers. If there are any in the house it may work, however, they respawn because the house does, you'll need to check that out. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:14, 12 November 2012 (GMT)

Rabbit Container[edit]

There is a rabbit and nord mead N of house on top of tree stump, where you actually go into it to claim raw leg and you can transfer item into it I haven't found this anywhere else but I'm sure there are some. Biffa.— Unsigned comment by 90.202.87.87 (talk) at 00:35 on 8 January 2013 (GMT)

Can't cut lumber for free[edit]

Even after both of the owners are dead (from the DB quest), you still can't use the mill to cut lumber for free. Seems like you should be able to. Oh, well.--73.27.2.20 21:30, 13 December 2014 (GMT)
