Frozen Glade

Frozen Glade is a vale with Snow Elf ruins that is accessed from the Frozen Passage.

From here there is access to several other locations added by Echoes of the Vale, such as the Frozen Crypt and Initiate's Rest.

Unlike the Frozen Passage, the Frozen Glade is fast-travel enabled.

Ruined Wayshrine[edit]

When you enter the Glade from the Frozen Passage, you will ascend from the mouth of the cave up a slope into a forest clearing. A ring of rock and earth marks where the ground fell into the hole long ago. Ahead of you is a half-buried and unusable Wayshrine, surrounded by several clusters of Yellow Mountain Flowers. The Wayshrine and the flowers around it attract Butterflies, making this a valuable source of ingredients.

To the west, on the edge of the crater rim, is a Rock Warbler nest from which you can obtain an egg.

Ahead, on the east wall, is the entrance to Catamount Cave. A Vale Sabre Cat guards the cave opening, along with a dead Vale Deer it has brought down. Within the cave are more Vale Sabre Cats, more dead deer, and a concentration of ore veins.

Tunnel to the Rests[edit]

Further ahead, the valley narrows into a natural tunnel. The tunnel branches off to the northeast and northwest; to the northwest is the entrance to Initiate’s Rest, a sheltered valley and player home with crafting stations and storage. To the northeast, the rocks part again to reveal another open area within the Glade, where the dead instead of the living have resting places.

Dead Elves’ Respite[edit]

Built into the walls on either side of the valley are the Frozen Tomb and the Frozen Crypt. In the center of the clearing, two Ice Wraiths wait in ambush beneath the snow.
