Targe of the Blooded

Enchanting description: Does <mag> bleeding damage for <dur> seconds.

Bleeding damage is an effect applied to war axes with the Hack and Slash perk, battle axes with the Limbsplitter perk, or when bashing enemies with the Targe of the Blooded. The effect cannot be absorbed or resisted in any way, and affected enemies will visibly bleed for as long as the effect is active. Bleeding damage can only be inflicted on living NPCs and creatures; Undead and Dwarven Automatons are immune due to lacking blood.

Magnitude and Duration[edit]

Each rank of the perks determine the magnitude and duration of bleeding damage dealt by weapons. The Targe of the Blooded is fixed at 3 points of bleeding damage for 5 seconds.

Uses[edit]

The Targe of the Blooded cannot be disenchanted as the effect is actually implemented as a spell. Thus the effect is not available for use for Enchanting.

Notes[edit]

  • Weapons from official add-ons cannot inflict bleeding damage as the requisite perks for these weapons do not exist.
