Online talk:Bangkorai Garrison
Conditions for accessibility[edit]
I think it's noteworthy on which conditions the garrison can be accessed as this will probably also help understand the conditions of the final story quests in Bangkorai. So far (I'm in the middle of The Parley) I haven't been able to open the north gate, which I have checked several times since my arrival in Bangkorai. However, I can enter the garrison through the south gate - and then leave it through either the same gate or the north gate. If this is possible right after arriving in Bangkorai or after a certain story line quest stage needs to be verified as I haven't been at the south gate during the first quests.
At the north gate, Sir Gidric is waiting with two guards; at the south gate, Dame Harbert (no NPC page yet) and two guards can be found. Both NPCs have the same dialogue: "Excuse me. Might you be willing to do us a favor and run a message to Evermore Castle?" In both cases, the only possible answer is "Goodbye". Is this dialogue part of a quest which has not or cannot be started yet? Furthermore, the NPCs at the north gate are quite buggy: If I come too close to Gidric, he and the guards will disappear and only reappear at a certain distance. I can only start the conversation with him from about two steps away. --Holomay (talk) 15:03, 17 February 2015 (GMT)
- Running a message to Evermore Castle sounds like something that should have already happened; perhaps it comes before The Parley if you go there after Jackdaw Cove without picking that one up. What's the situation inside the Garrison at this point? Based on what the guard at the north gate says, you shouldn't be able to get into it at all (Knights of St Pelin only, I think he says). I guess it's a phasing issue that's casing them to disappear when you get too close. --Enodoc (talk) 15:55, 17 February 2015 (GMT)

- The Lion Guard and Evermore Soldiers are fighting against Imperials, so I guess the situation is quite close to what can be experienced during Storming the Garrison. However, I can't talk to anyone, and there are no named NPCs except for Captain Galron, who will respawn after being killed. The Garrison Barracks and the Royal Crypt are labeled, but the entry option is greyed out for me while I can watch other players entering and leaving the interiors. --Holomay (talk) 16:06, 11 May 2015 (GMT)

- I'm taking the fact that you can enter the Garrison through the south gate as a bug. Both Sir Gidric and Dame Harbert says only Knights of Saint Pelin are allowed in. Their full dialogue, before any Bangkorai quests, is as follows:
- Halt there. Bangkorai Garrison is on lockdown since the death of King Eamond. Only Knights of Saint Pelin and members of the royal family are allowed in. Also, if you were planning on going to Evermore, you might want to reconsider that. Why do you say that? An army of Reachmen is just a day's march from the city, and when they get there, it's not going to be pretty. We've done all we can, but frankly I think it may have been in vain. The knights we sent haven't returned or sent word. Where did you send the knights? The group was led by Sir Dubroc, and they went to Jackdaw Cove, hoping to strike at the heart of these Reachmen, this Hagraven who apparently leads them. If you do go north, we wouldn't complain if you looked for Sir Dubroc. He may need help. I'll look for Sir Dubroc in the area of Jackdaw Cove. If you find Sir Dubroc, tell him that unless he's making progress against the Reachmen, he needs to get his buttocks back down here.
- This dialogue starts Searching for the Searchers, which directs you to Jackdaw Cove.
