Skaldir is a Nord Docent of the Mages Guild and an associate scryer in the Order of the Eye.
He is author of the Order of the Eye Dispatch found in Mages Guild hall in Vivec which starts the related quest.

When you arrive at the Mages Guild in Mournhold he expresses gratitude at your arrival.

Skaldir's Shadow grabs him and stabs him through the chest, instantly killing him. Bonafryd then rushes in. Speaking to her will continue the quest.
