Quest-Related Events

When you approach her, Tanelwen will be in the middle of accusing her suspects. Speaking to Hunrand:

"Avast! Why do you pester me like this nosy wench? I've no use for lubber-pies!"

After speaking to Tanelwen, you can ask him:

If you didn't steal the pie, then who did?

"That slippery Breton must have taken it! Believe me, I know a thief when I see one—and that little twerp is guilty as they come!
Must be mighty quick though. I barely took me eyes off the rascal, and these eyes are sharp as fishhooks, see?"

If you were watching the Breton the whole time, isn't it possible that they're innocent?

"No! Not possible. Investigator Vale said one of us is guilty, and it weren't me. She's clever as a one-eyed shark that one. Vale's never wrong. Never!"

Did you see anything else unusual before the pie went missing?

"Hmm. I saw a flash of brown fur, out of the corner of me eye—quick as a dolphin in the wake. It was heading towards the hedgerow, I think. You don't think that Breton's a werewolf do you?"

After you uncover Tanelwen's true identity, Maya and Hunrand are left puzzled:

Maya Doran: "Does that mean we aren't in trouble?"

Hunrand: "I don't know. But now I'm hungry!"

Speak to him and he'll say:

"Investigator Vale was wrong? But that means … oh dear. You mean I'm not a daring pirate queen after all? Damn it all."

After the quest, he'll say:

"I guess being a member of the Illumination Academy is a little better than being a pirate queen. I guess."
