Collect gardening samples from Falinesti Autumn Site.
Zone: Reaper's March
Quest Giver: Ongalion
Location(s): Falinesti Autumn Site
Reward: Arbordawn Breastplate
Low Leveled Gold
Ongalion and the Nature Spirit
I met a Bosmer named Ongalion at the Falinesti Autumn site. He's a tree-steward, helping to tend the site while the city is away.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Collect four root samples, four soil samples and a water sample.
  2. Talk to Ongalion.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

To start this quest, speak to Ongalion southwest of Falinesti Autumn Site. He mistakes you for a pilgrim and suggests you return to the camp. When you tell him you are just a traveler, he asks you to help him collect root, earth and water samples. You can choose to ask him about why he was so pleased you weren't a pilgrim, if he is a gardener, and if he knows anything about the Arbordawn cult.

The closest cave contains soil samples. The quest markers should show you the locations of the piles of soil and groups of roots once you enter a cave. The water sample comes from the large puddle of water in the main area outside the caves.

Return to Ongalion at the camp once you have gathered all the samples for a reward. Besides the breastplate and the gold, he offers "you the chance to see a ritual few outsiders have seen.":"Root, earth, water, grow. Spirit of the Green, sprout and show. And we wait."

He pours the mixture on the ground, the earth begins to glow green, and then a Nature Spirit, a ghostly spriggan, appears.
