Audremard Petit is a Breton priest of Zenithar who can be found on the roads around Tamriel. He can be only be found during the Zeal of Zenithar event as a random encounter.

Dialogue[edit]

When approached, he'll say one of two things:

Audremard Petit :"Zenithar, Provider of our Ease, I fear your ways are little understood. Help me see that your teachings are known in these lands."
Audremard Petit : "Oh Zenithar, God of Coin and Commerce, show me that your values are not forgotten in these greedy times."

When spoken to initially, he says:

"Zenithar keep the working days of your life long and your purse filled, my friend.
If you'd like to try your hand, I have some questions about the Provider of Our Ease for you. I can promise a worthy reward should you provide the correct answers."
I'll answer your questions about Zenithar.
"Excellent! I hope you're knowledgeable. The other devotees of Zenithar at my Abbey detest my quiz. Apparently it's difficult and arduous. But the gift of Zenithar cannot be given for free.
Are you certain you're prepared for this?"
Of course.

If you get the first question correct and if he ask you to continue and you choose to continue:

Yes, I'd like to answer another question about Zenithar.

On additional encounters, he'll greet you one of two things:

"It's good to see you again, student of Zenithar.
I have more questions to test your knowledge of my Lord's ways. Answer them correctly, and I'd be glad to pay you once again. What do you say?"
"Hello again, traveler. Have you studied the teachings of Zenithar since last we spoke?
My questions may change, but the reward for answering correctly is still the same. So, would you like to test your mind once more?"

He can ask one of several sets of questions:

"Many devotees will talk about the Resolutions of Zenithar. What is it?"
A temple where his devotees dedicate themselves to his ways.
"That's correct! But, I wonder if you'd be so knowledgeable when it comes to the application of all Zenithar's taught us? Are you ready for another question?"
A mace his followers use to carry out his will.
"That's not quite correct. There's a festival taking place in Belkarth. Perhaps you should inquire about the Lord of Labor there.
Of course, you're more than welcome to think a moment and try my questions again."
A holy tome where his teachings are inscribed.
"That's not quite correct. There's a festival taking place in Belkarth. Perhaps you should inquire about the Lord of Labor there.
Of course, you're more than welcome to think a moment and try my questions again."
"Zenithar comes to you on your deathbed and asks what accomplishment you're the most proud of completing in your lifetime. What is your answer?
The integrity of your family name, the wealth growing in your coffer, or the land you amassed?"
The land I amassed.
"That's not quite correct. There's a festival taking place in Belkarth. Perhaps you should inquire about the Lord of Labor there.
Of course, you're more than welcome to think a moment and try my questions again."
The coins in my coffer.

May Zenithar watch over you and help you to see opportunities for work and growth wherever they present themselves."

A torchbug.

"Your child comes of age and asks for guidance on what path she should follow in her life to please Zenithar. What advice do you give?"

"Before you lies a coin purse filled with gleaming coins, the mallet you whittled by hand last winter, and a tome given to you by a traveling mage. Which would make the most appropriate offering?"

Every other merchant who let another stall be ransacked would have to pay for the stolen goods.
"That's not quite correct. There's a festival taking place in Belkarth. Perhaps you should inquire about the Lord of Labor there.

The only way to carry out justice is to ensure the thief can never steal again.

"Zenithar does not ask much of his worshipers, only that we see the value in our actions. That being said, what is something that would offend him?"
Looting and pillaging.

If you fail and speak to him again, instead his opening will be:

"Hello again, traveler. Have you studied the teachings of Zenithar since last we spoke?
My questions may change, but the reward for answering correctly is still the same. So, would you like to test your mind once more?"

After answering two questions correctly, he'll bestow Zenithar's Blessing on you and say:

Audremard Petit : "Zenithar's blessed light is rumored to guide those who see it to lost artifacts. Watch for it on your travels my knowledgeable friend."

This blessing lasts for 12 hours.

You can also steal Prayer Beads of Zenithar from the shrine next to him, causing him to say:

Audremard Petit : "You would steal from a Priest of Zenithar? Have you learned nothing of his values or ways?"

These beads can then be given to Juste Nin during a separate event encounter.
