Inventory[edit]

I could find no mention of food in Ugak's inventory. The Construction Set lists her belongings as follows:

LL0NPCGoldMiddleClass (gold)
MiddlePants02 (tan linens)
MiddleShirt02 (quilted doublet)
MiddleShoes04 (thick cowhide shoes)
WeaponIronShortsword (iron shortsword)

This could probably use another in-game checking just to be sure, if someone is willing. –Eshetalk 18:40, 9 June 2009 (EDT)

We've experienced this problem before, and the food was probably something she randomly picked up - usually, the CS is right about these things, and there's no need to doubt it in this case. Just to make sure, I'll go give her another check using different save-games. Krusty 18:50, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
As to be expected, no food found in-game. Krusty 20:00, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
Okay, cool. Thanks for your help! –Eshetalk 20:34, 9 June 2009 (EDT)

Rumors[edit]

I'm not sure the dialogue about horses on this page (or Oblivion:Tilmo) is necessary. The rumors section is really aimed at the things that get randomly said by NPCs about an individual but the horse stuff only ever gets said at particular times by particular NPCs. My instinct (and I'm pretty sure I've done this on another ostler's page) is to keep the horse dialogue off the page and use the "no rumors" note. –rpehTCE 10:56, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Erm, when you say "dialogue" - do you mean Ugak's horse selling speech? I like that, as it adds a bit of flavor to both the page and the NPC. If you mean the Tilmo "rumor", then I'm not so sure. That's his only dialogue and it works better on Tilmo's own page. The two rumors I just added are pure random rumors from around town, so I guess they belong as well. Hmm, why am I even writing this? Seems like we agree. The problem (and we will face this many times) is: when does a line of unique dialogue qualify as a rumor? An example could be some of the Mages Guild members. They sometimes points you towards another member and we include that, because it makes the story about the NPC (Erthor is a good example). I guess it's a matter of judgment, but in this case, I don't think the sentence "Tilmo has your horse waiting outside." qualifies as a rumor. Rumors should give some kind of "background" info on the NPC, but still - it's a matter of personal taste. Right now, I'm trying to decide whether or not to include a house sellers recommendation dialogue towards the furnishing seller (on the furnishing sellers page). And I'll probably skip it, as it is purely formal and doesn't add anything useful to his page. Krusty 11:28, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
I meant the "Tilmo has your horse waiting outside." line, but the "You need to see Ugak if you want to buy a horse. She's inside." line is pretty close to superfluous too. –rpehTCE 11:57, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree - I don't think any of those lines qualifies as rumors. They are part of an NPCs unique dialogue, and they belong in that category (in Tilmo's case ONLY because he really doesn't have anything else to say) - on the NPCs own page. Krusty 12:12, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
I added these, and after seeing your arguments, I think it's best if they are removed. They indeed do not add anything. I'll delete them now. Wolok gro-Barok 14:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
