Oblivion talk:Damage Health
What the Spell Does[edit]
I don't understand the difference between Damage Health and Frost Damage, Fire Damage, and Shock Damage. Does Damage Health actually hurt the person, or does it basicly do the same thing as drain health? — Unsigned comment by 208.102.83.18 (talk) at 16:58 on 31 May 2008
- with elemental damage(fire, frost, shock) the person could restore their health with a simple restore health spell, while if you damage their health with the damage health spell,it won't be healed by a simple heal spell and is permanent until it is healed--LordSil 14:16, 31 May 2008 (EDT)

- Damage Health is another form of damage, like Fire Damage, Frost Damage and Shock Damage. The only difference is in how they are resisted/countered. All are countered by Magic Resistance, but Fire Damage is also countered by Fire Resistance, Frost Damage by Frost Resistance, and Shock Damage by Shock Resistance. Certain enemies have resistance/weakness to certain forms of damage, so you would use different types of damage for different enemies (e.g. use Frost Damage on Fire Atronachs, Fire Damage on Frost Atronachs, and so on). If you encountered an enemy that was resistant to Fire, Frost, and Shock, you would want to use Damage Health on them.
- While Damage Health is permanent (it needs to be healed), Drain Health is temporary, and the 'lost' health is restored when the spell ends.

Damage Health[edit]
For some reason when i combined a spell with 50 frost damage 70 fire damage and 20 damage health my spell would only affect the enemy with the 20 point health damage im guessing this is a bug but i can't confirm it. If this has happened to anyone else could you please verify it? — Unsigned comment by Khajitmarksman56 (talk • contribs) at 17:54 on 27 July 2009
Weakness to Magic[edit]
Does weakness to magic amplify damage health in any way?(magnitude or duration) I would like to enchant a sword with both(Example:Damage Health 10pts for 2 seconds + Weakness to Magic 100% for 10 seconds)— Unsigned comment by 70.162.95.64 (talk) at 05:49 on 6 September 2010
- Yes, only magnitude. Read Weakness to Magic for more info.--Wizy 07:00, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
