Page Content[edit]

To partially repeat myself from Oblivion talk:Rosethorn Hall.... If we're going to insist on having pages for individual houses, these pages should at least include complete information on the houses instead of being stubs that don't even have any links to the Oblivion:Houses page where the information currently exists. Personally, I would be much more in favor of just moving this gallery of images to the Houses page and changing this to a redirect. Or the other option would be to move everything from the Houses page to here and change the Houses section into a redirect. But I really dislike having one-sentence stub pages for a topic that is already completely discussed somewhere else. --Nephele 12:27, 18 October 2006 (EDT)

I think this picture exists for the purpose of the image gallery. My idea was that Rosethorn Hall could use a similar set up screenshots. Possibly the same for Benirus Manor, although those could be on the quest page for that house. None of the other houses really need anything, I think, as they're all pretty small and not much to look at. But the places that have their own names like that are worth considering. --TheRealLurlock 14:42, 18 October 2006 (EDT)
If you think this should be an image gallery page, then rename it to "Arborwatch_Images" or something that makes it clear that the only purpose of the page is to provide images. If the name of the page is "Arborwatch" it should be the primary source of information on Arborwatch, not an auxiliary addendum to the Houses page. --Nephele 14:47, 18 October 2006 (EDT)

() Indeed. For these image pages mentioned, I'd also advise the exclusion of images from games with 'house mods' such as the Display Case mod the page's creator is using. Said images can be misleading. For now, I've added a small note to the page stating the major variations (however, not all of them - for example, one of the display cases replaces a table and chair). --Kurai-sama 16:01, 15 March 2007 (GMT +3)

Hmm, I wasn't aware of that. In that case, I'd actually favor the deletion of this page, or at least replacing all the images with equivalents from the un-modded game. We don't generally discuss any 3rd-party mods on this site, only the official ones, and yes, it is misleading implying that this house has display cases when it actually doesn't. --TheRealLurlock Talk 09:21, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
Hmm, it is a while since I made this page, yes. At that time, I didn't know that it was taken with a mod, as I didn't take the images myself. I fully agree to TheRealLurlock in either deleting this page or replacing the pictures. --MiSP 11:51, 15 March 2007 (EDT)

() Would just like to say Thank You for the Pictures. So far this is the only house on your site I have been able to "window shop" the Upgrades. I find I don't like all the upgrades for each house so I use the discription to buy my base needs/wants and then I can go thru the painstaking process of saving buying walking reloading ;) — Unsigned comment by 72.174.53.157 (talk) at 03:33 on 8 August 2009 (GMT)

Servant's Quarters?[edit]

Who do you get to be your slave.. i mean, "servant" for this home? Zulu Inuoe 12:37, 24 October 2007 (EDT)

You don't. It's just a room and furnishings in this case. --RpehTCE 12:39, 24 October 2007 (EDT)

countess[edit]

I'm not sure why, I have no infamy and 80 fame but, I cant get the countess' disposition over 68, and I cant use voice of the emporer or beguiling touch on her either (which before I thought could raise it over max but oh well) — Unsigned comment by Bori85 (talkcontribs) on 10 February 2008

The countess is mildly glitched. Try shooting a Charming spell at her, and it (usually) doesn't work. If you stand at a distance, and aim at her leg's, it will indeed work. — Unsigned comment by 68.43.234.181 (talk) on 28 February 2009
Do the canvas the castle quest first, that gave a dispotion of 75 for me. also it helps a little bit if you close the oblivion gate outside of chorrol when you can. — Unsigned comment by 79.138.191.42 (talk) at 06:40 on 18 July 2010
i had the same problem, and i found out by acident that if you first bribe her to the max then do the canvas the castle quest, and after that, pickpocket her and last pay fine and rebribe her the disposition will be 95 — Unsigned comment by 86.167.32.53 (talk) at 16:12 on 28 November 2010 (GMT)
I could just buy the house with a dispisition of 68. I buyed the house before the paitning quest. — Unsigned comment by 94.213.118.5 (talk) at 15:55 on 18 June 2013 (GMT)

displays[edit]

Also if you clear the table it can be used as a large display table to show off your prized possessions — Unsigned comment by 86.162.92.199 (talk) at 19:42 on 30 May 2009 (GMT)

Possible glitch or other instability?[edit]

I have been using Arborwatch as my main house, and I am starting to have serious problems with it. The game is crashing every few times I enter or exit. I'm not sure if it is a problem specific to this house or not. All of my stuff is in cabinets, but it is a lot of stuff. Maybe this is the issue? Also, I am on PS3. — Unsigned comment by 24.210.79.239 (talk) at 05:39 on 12 August 2010 (GMT)

try cleaning the disc, or if its really sratched up, get one of those resurfacing devices. They revived my oblivion disc more than once. Since its the PS3, It Cant be the reference bug. I definitly dont think it is the amount of stuff though. 184.77.194.254 05:46, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
