S'jirra in Faregyl Inn

S'jirra is a Khajiit commoner staying at Faregyl Inn, south of the Imperial City. Her potato bread is apparently famous (though nobody else will make any mention of it), but unfortunately she is unable to make a batch for you as her jumbo potatoes were stolen by a mischievous ogre. If you can retrieve them for her, she'll give you a batch of the bread for free. Afterwards, you can purchase them through dialogue for 25 gold a loaf.

S'jirra really seems to enjoy her stay at Faregyl Inn. She wakes up at 6am and spends the next five hours wandering around the inn, talking with the other two residents, Abhuki and Alix Lencolia. At 11am, she finds a table in the back of the room and eats her lunch there for three hours. At 2pm, she exchanges the table for the bar, and sits there drinking mead for eight hours straight, then wanders the inn for two more hours before going up to her room to sleep at midnight.

She wears a shirt with suspenders, as well as a pair of green felt linens. She carries a respawning bottle of mead and a wedge of cheese, so she never has to look for food or drink. She also has a copy of the key to Faregyl Inn and a limited amount of gold.

The Potato Snatcher[edit]

When you enter the inn for the first time, you will find S'jirra heartbroken and muttering when you approach her:

"Ohhhh... what am I to do? They're gone... all gone."

If you speak with her, she will ask for your help:

"Can you help me find my lost Jumbo Potatoes?"
Jumbo Potatoes
"Please, you must help me find them! If I don't have them for the next batch of my Famous Potato Bread, I don't know what I'll do! How stupid I was to leave them outside all alone like that! All I wanted to do was give them some sun. Next thing I knew, they were gone! I saw someone running off to the west, but I'm too frightened to journey into the woods alone. Please... can you help me? I'll pay you well. I swear!"

If you ask her about the potatoes a second time, she will reveal a rather unsettling relationship with them:

Jumbo Potatoes
"My potatoes are like my children. I care for and nurture each one individually. That way, they grow up to be big and strong."

While they are missing she can be heard moaning when you exit conversation with her:

'"Won't you help me... please?"
"Be careful, that brute was absolutely huge!"

When you return and you approach her, she will enquire:

"Did you fare well?"

If you return without the potatoes, she will greet you with:

"I can tell you haven't been successful yet. But keep trying!"

After you have slain the responsible ogre and obtained the six missing potatoes, S'jirra will sense them right away:

"You have them! You have them! I can sense they're with you!"

If you exit conversation before giving them to her, she sill say:

"Please... give them to me! I must have them!"

When you hand them over, she will be overwhelmed with joy:

"Oh my goodness! You found them! Ohhhh! I could kiss you! As promised, I owe you a reward for your efforts. I present you with my first batch of Famous Potato Bread! More valuable than gold! Enjoy!"

From now on, she will greet you with:

"I'm so happy to see you again!"

You can now purchase her famous bread, as she'll remind you on subsequent visits, saying:

"Are you here to visit me and perhaps purchase more of my Famous Potato Bread?"
"Would you like to buy some of my Famous Potato Bread?"

If you have the necessary 25 gold she'll be delighted:

"Hot out of the oven! Enjoy! Come back if you want more."

If you don't she'll be rather annoyed:

"Please! Don't insult me! You don't have enough money to pay for my bread. Come back when you do!"

If you refuse to buy any, she'll say:

"Very well. Come back if you change your mind."

When you exit conversation, she will bid you farewell:

"Safe journey to you."
