About an edit[edit]

This one, to be precise. I've looked to try to confirm what was added by that edit, but I can't find anything. Can anyone confirm it? - User:Aces Andre 18:14, 20 May 2009 (EDT)

Ah forget it, found it on my own. Although it's not necessarily true, as it is obvious that Mannimarco (is he the real one?) would want to make people believe he humiliated his greatest enemy. :) - User:Aces Andre 19:08, 20 May 2009 (EDT)
I've added some references to the article to provide a source for some of the info. If you found a better one, please add it to make things even clearer. –RpehTCE 03:15, 21 May 2009 (EDT)

Clash with Mannimarco article.[edit]

In the article about Mannimarco, it says "For an unknown reason, Mannimarco was later sent to Tamriel by his masters (almost definitely his teachers in magic). Galerion left for the mainland as well (it was time for him to leave, implying after a certain time students of Artaeum left for Tamriel). This could imply Mannimarco was older or more intelligent than Galerion (or at least considered so by his teachers)." Yet in this article, it says "...the Psijic order sent Mannimarco to mainland Tamriel to run an errand... Galerion, sickened by the foolishness of his superiors, traveled to Tamriel and founded an order of noble magisters..."

So, do I edit the Mannimarco article to this version or leave it or what? Didn't want to act without making sure I was doing the right thing first. :/ Apollo Quinn 22:24, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Well, the Lore namespace has a nasty reputation for being internally inconsistent. Some people write things out of pure speculation or assumption (though that doesn't seem to be the case here) while others just aren't worried about internal consistency. I'd recommend that we sift through the few sources that we have (Hannibal Traven's dialogue, Mannimarco, King of Worms, Galerion the Mystic, and so on and so forth) and then decide based on that info what to do.--Kalis AgeaYes? Well, I recently started a new character and I'm fairly far along the Mage's Guild quest line, so when I get to the final mission (I presume that's the one with the important dialogue) I'll note it down. I thought it might perhaps be down to conflicting in-game sources, sorta like the clash between 'The Real Barenziah' and the sanctioned biography...? In the meantime, I'll have a look at the sources. After a preliminary look (it's two AM where I am, so I'm subject to human error), it seems that the Mannimarco article is at fault, both in content and referencing/sourcing. If it's okay with you, I'll draw up revisions and implement them tomorrow evening. Apollo Quinn 01:00, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Please feel free to make any necessary changes if the article doesn't match the reference. --Legoless 01:09, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
I've sorted out what problems I could see, but feel free to look it over and correct any mistakes I've made. Apollo Quinn 23:02, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

() Sorry I missed this. If you confirmed it, then making the changes is fine by me (as I see you did).--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 01:33, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Statue[edit]

I've seen a few claims on the internet stating that one of the statues in Cheydinhal depicts Galerion (for example here). However, I don't remember seeing any in-game evidence to confirm this- perhaps the statue's ID lists it as being Vanus Galerion. If this is the case then it may be worth adding an image to the page.--Tovenam 19:00, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Wrong Statue[edit]

The statue currently present on the page isn't the same as the one used in the website provided by another user and which claimed to be a statue of Vanus Galerion, it's a statue of Arkay holding the double-knot (or whatever this is meant to be, two cycles, on for life, one for death?) and the wooden staff. The one present on the german wiki looks like this. This is a mistake and it should probably be changed (if we can find evidence that the wizard statue is indeed Vanus) or removed. Since the picture was added in 2011, I can't believe nobody noticed this before. — Unsigned comment by HappyB3 (talkcontribs) at 21:48 on 13 March 2020‎

Thanks for catching that, i've moved the previous image to its correct name and taken a new image to use on this page. Kiz(email - talk) 22:32, 13 March 2020 (GMT)
