42 or 142[edit]

I tried to get this noticed on Fasendil's talk page to no avail. However, with this new lore page I feel it warrants a re-mention as there still remains a big problem with this event. The only dating it gets is by Legate Fasendil, who says it happened in '42. However, given the lifespan of Altmer, this could mean either the year 42 or 142 of the Fourth Era. Unless this is specified in the Prima Guide, this is inconclusive as this event fits at either point in the timeline. Mindtrait0r (talk) 00:31, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

I saw your discussion point about 42 vs 142, and I agree that Altmer lifespans are long enough that year 42 is not unusual enough to challenge it, considering it's spoken from the lips of the eyewitness himself, in the game. Solomon1972 19:41, 1 December 2022 (EST)

Why add 4E 48 reference?[edit]

The extra bit added at the end is not part of the Night of Green Fire. Why was it added here? Solomon1972 (talk) 03:24, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

It predates it chronologically (from the novels in 2009, vs the game in 2011) and is highly related to the event in both what happened, who did it, and where it happened. Its important to note in some way. The timeframe in the novels is kind of wonky but it could've happened between 4E 40- 48. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 03:35, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I'm going to edit it just a touch, to make it a little more clear, based on what you're saying. Solomon1972
Done. Solomon1972
Thank you, it looks much better now. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 03:47, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
