Sage Svari (previously Skald Svari) was the sage of the Companions of Fallowstone Hall in the mid-Second Era. She lived in in the town of Shor's Stone. She was a mage,[1] author,[2] and skald by training.[3]

Skald Svari was present at Fallowstone Hall when it was stormed by Reachmen in 2E 582. She was among the surviving Companions led by Vigrod Wraithbane who summoned the vengeful spirit of Sage Tirora to help retake the hall from the invaders.[4] Having prepared her whole life for the role, Svari was the natural successor to Tirora to become the next sage of Fallowstone Hall and record the deeds of the Companions.[5] However, she needed to first prove herself by praying at Fallowstone's shrines to receive visions of the original Five Hundred Companions. After completing this ritual, she was appointed as sage by Vigrod and her fellow Companions.[6]

As her first act as sage, Svari began work on recording the deeds of the Vestige in aiding the Companions liberate Fallowstone Hall.[5] She also tasked the Vestige with recovering two artifacts which had been looted from Fallowstone Hall. Specifically, a weapon known as Winter's Hammer was recovered from the bandit leader at Fort Greenwall,[7] and another named Winter's Bite was retrieved from the Darkling cultists at Faldar's Tooth.[8]

Sage Svari was an expert on the subject of werewolves. She is the author of An Accounting of Werewolves[2] and was known to have conducted scholarly research into the origins of the disease.[9]
