Missun Akin was a Dunmeri sharpshooter and acrobat who was active in the late years of the Third Era. In his time, he was a master archer that learned from the previous master, Hiomaste of Moliva, and avenged his death by slaying the Duchess of Woda.[1] He subsequently retired to his home in Morrowind, specifically the wastes of Red Mountain and lived in seclusion in the fortress of Falasmaryon.[2]

History[edit]

Missun Akin was a young traveler that was raised in the vicinity of Red Mountain, on the island of Vvardenfell. He decided to travel far to the southwest, to the province of Valenwood, to train under the legendary archer Hiomaste at his school in the village of Moliva. He made several trips to the nearest city-state, Elden Root, and brought more students to the archery school.[3] Sometime later, roughly around 3E 346,[1][4]:8 the Duchess of Woda had burned both the village and school to the ground and Missun Akin took it upon himself to avenge his former master. Far from the Duchess' castle, Akin shot his ebony arrows through the high defenses and iron doors to pierce the Duchess' portrait through the heart. After several days and nights, the castle was on high alert, until the Duchess was ultimately assassinated by Akin's arrow.[1]

By 3E 427, Missun Akin had retired to the Ashlands of Vvardenfell, and lived in seclusion in the old stronghold of Falasmaryon. He generally lived a life of hunting and training others, much like Hiomaste.[1] He was a master archer by then, and an expert in athletics and long blade.[2]
