"'Walk the untrod paths, feel the land with your bare feet, and keep a keen ear out for what the spirits speak in the rustle of the leaves." —Camhain Tharn[1]

Camhain Tharn was a Reachfolk member of House Tharn and a nephew of the first of the Longhouse Emperors Durcorach of the Blackdrake Clan,[1] and possibly Veraxia Tharn.[2][3] He was an author of the A Reach Travel Guide and was known for his pro-Longhouse sentiments.[1]

History[edit]

Little is known of Camhain Tharn's history. As a Reachfolk relative of Emperor Durcorach and a member of the prominent Tharn family of Nibenay he had ties to both Cyrodiil and the Reach. At some time prior to 2E 558 he traveled through the land of his ancestors and explored numerous sites such as Karthwasten, Markarth, Briar Rock, Lost Valley and Valthume. In his works he referred to the Reach as "our lands", suggesting his close ties to the region.[1]

In 2E 558 he wrote his guide to the Reachfolk lands, A Reach Travel Guide.[1]

His fate following the fall of the Longhouse dynasty in 2E 577 is unknown.[2][3][4] Many Reachfolk retreated from Cyrodiil following the death of Emperor Leovic,[5] but the relatives of the Black Drake met their end at hands of Ard Caddach, who purged[6] or banished all his potential rivals among his relatives.[5][7][8]
