Walkthrough[edit]

Before you begin, be aware that the enemies within will deal fire and frost damage, the stronger enemies focusing more on the latter. It may be wise to prepare to resist these. Atronachs are enemies you must fight before the dragon boss. If it’s a Frost Atronach, then it will both cleave and freeze with its sharpened arms. But if it’s a Flame Atronach, it will use its fiery pointed claws to dealing slashing and burning damage simultaneously.

The event beings in an Ayleid ruin. Go straight through the first room and turn at the exit into a corridor; expect to see glowing mushroom food spawn on the left wall of this corridor. Turn right into a room patrolled by two Flame Atronachs. They are almost impossible to avoid, as the room is small and has to be crossed twice. It may also contain breakables of up to medium size, and red mushrooms may spawn in the rubble by the left exit. The main exit ahead and to the right of the entrance is barred by a locked door; you will have to unlock it. Head through the left exit to a corridor, which may contain more breakables of up to large size. Glowing mushroom food will again spawn on its left wall. It turns left into a small room patrolled by a Flame Atronach, also practically unavoidable. Activate the Welkynd Stone trigger on the floor to the left of the entrance to unlock the locked door, and keep an eye out for breakables of up to small size. A glowing mushroom food will spawn on the back of the throne, hidden from view from the room's entrance.

Return to the now-open door and turn right into the corridor. Glowing mushroom food may spawn on the right wall, and around the corner red mushroom food may spawn in rubble on the right side of the corridor. Breakables of up to medium size may spawn there. The corridor turns left and leads into a room patrolled by the titular fire and ice: A Flame Atronach and a Frost Atronach. This room has exits on all four walls. The right one is a blocked passage, the one opposite the entrance is another locked door, and the left one down a corridor. It potentially contains breakables of up to small size, and turns right into a room patrolled by two Frost Atronachs. They may be hidden behind the wall in front of the entrance and may potentially see you before they are seen. It is also possible, however, to avoid one or both. In the opposite corner of the room is another Welkynd Stone trigger. Activate it to open the locked door. To the right of this trigger is a blocked corridor with a button trigger on its right wall; this will open the corridor to reveal a secret area.

The secret area continues the corridor, with glowing mushrooms on the left. It turns left and then right into more corridor with glowing mushrooms on the right, and left again into a room with a Golden Chest guarded by a Frost Atronach boss. If done hastily, it may be possible to grab the chest before the Atronach is engaged. Glowing mushroom food may spawn on the pillar, and in the opposite corner of the room is an empty corridor to nowhere.

Return to the now-open door, een peeled for breakables of up to small size, and head up the stairs. Red mushroom food may spawn in the rubble at the top. Turn left and left again down the corridor, which turns right down a final stretch to the final room. Keep your een open for breakables of up to medium size.

The final room contains the dragon boss of the event. It may also contain breakables of up to large size. Defeating the dragon will end the event, but it may be worth circling the room for breakables.
