Storage and Furnishings[edit]

I noticed for the vanilla hold homes the upgrades section of each includes storage and other furnishings per each upgrade, but for the Hearthfire houses, Severin Manor, and other 'owned' homes (eg Archmage's Quarters) there are no upgrades, therefore nowhere to list storage locations. In regards to the hold homes, it might be useful to list such storage and furnishings pre-upgrade also, as well as checking the areas for furnishings that aren't added/removed/changed with the upgrades as I believe some homes have. Before starting a massive in-game effort to explore each home and include this though I was wondering if anyone would consider it useful given the time since Skyrim's release and the upcoming release of Valenwood. At the very least I intend to do a thorough inventory of Severin Manor soon for at the very least a personal comparison to the other homes. DoriSai (talk) 01:01, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

No, it wouldn't be useful to list the furnishings and storage pre-upgrade as the table is there for a comparison of total maximum available. The Hearthfire houses have a total of 1 chest guaranteed (or 2 if you count the one outside), everything else can be added individually/as a cluster compared to the upgrade 'packages', and that's assuming you build the house. The Construction pages list all the possible storage and furnishings you can build split by the different parts you can choose to add. They are also not rival houses, they are better houses, they have more storage of all kinds, more furnishings, and all the equipment needed for all types of crafting, so there is no point comparing them and only the differences between the three are useful here as otherwise they are identical houses. Severin Manor could do with more detail for making a comparison to other city houses, though it isn't a direct rival to them as spouses and children can't move there. The faction residences could do with storage detail, especially the shared accommodation, as currently the free shacks is more useful by detailing which container(s) are safe. furnishing IDs before buying for other houses?[edit]

some furnishing will disable the previous state of a room when you have to enable them manually (because of the good old can't buy furnishing bug), but some other won't and clipping is just terrible when it happens. As such is someone willing to complete the list of before IDs? — Unsigned comment by 90.34.56.69 (talk) at 14:19 on 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Purchase bug[edit]

I have added a bug to the page. It is a correct bug and will work.DarkShadows (talk) 01:01, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

It is already noted under the Exploits section of the Glitches page. —MortenOSlash (talk) 11:23, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Children's Bedroom[edit]

When I purchase the children's bedroom from the steward, it still shows available though they took my money. The houses are unable to be moved to since I have children. This has happened in both Whiterun and Solitude. Whoman69 (talk) 19:38, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Reset[edit]

Don't really know whether people talk about this before. Moveable items that are already there in your houses coming with the decoration will always reset to their original location if you the player don't do anything about it.

For example, there are two rabbit legs in Breezehome come with the kitchen upgrade. Sometimes one or both the rabbit legs can fall to the floor due to physics. If you don't do anything about it, coming back to Breezehome a few days later, it will reset to their original location.

Sometimes your dog like Meeko can tip over things, like the plates with food on them in Proudspire Manor. If you don't do anything and leave it be, a few days later coming back, it will reset.
