I met a pair of adventurers outside a ruin who offered me a share of their gold if I help them complete a job. They've been hired to find a missing young Orc inside the ruins known as Thukhozod's Sanctum.
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Search for Khoruzoth.
- Decide what to do with what you discovered.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Standing before Thukozod's Sanctum are two adventurers going by the names of Meram Farr and Bardun. The latter has twisted his ankle while running to save his life from skeletons. Meram will tell you all about the story :
- "Don't worry, my partner will be all right. He just twisted his ankle running out of that damned ruin.
Bardun's pride will hurt more than his injury come morning. That and our empty gold pouch. Should have known this job sounded too easy!" - What job might that be?
- "We were sent to find Khoruzoth, who's supposedly inside the ruin. His mother hired us. Said we had to save her son.
There was something about her, like she wasn't totally forthcoming. But the gold she offered was good enough that we didn't press it." - Maybe I can help.
- "Sure, a sub-contract, as it were. For a share of the gold, of course.
Maybe you'll have better luck in there than we did. Or, at least, you won't have to deal with quite as many skeletons." - I'll look for Khoruzoth.
- "Just be careful in there. Those ruins can be dangerous—even when you're as experienced as Bardun over there."
Enter the ruins, then look for the missing Orc. You'll find him dead in one of the chambers, killed by the same skeletons that ambushed the adventurers. After what you've to tell Meram :
- "Glad to see you made it out of there without twisting your ankle or anything. But I don't see our contract target.
You weren't able to find Khoruzoth, I take it?" - Khoruzoth is dead.
- "Dead? I guess that shouldn't be a surprise, but when I talked to his mother I got the distinct impression that he wasn't in any real danger. It was like she expected him to be safe in there. She just wanted us to bring him home."
- I guess that's the end of the contract.
- "You're right, but this won't do at all. She's not going to pay us if we tell her that she lost her son, especially not without some sort of proof that we actually found him.
What a waste of time and energy." - Khoruzoth was wearing this amulet.
- "Let me see that. Interesting. It's inscribed with the names Khoruzoth and Thukhozod. Now that might be worth something, especially with the legend and all.
I'll give you the gold we discussed and you give us the amulet. Sound good?" - I'll consider your offer.
You have the choice to let her have the amulet or give it to Khoruzoth's mother. If you do the latter :
- "My stupid son! I can't believe he went off to follow in his father's footsteps, the idiot!"
- Your son is Khoruzoth?
- "My son? What do you know about my son?"
- I met the adventurers you hired to find Khoruzoth.
- "You know Meram and that nice Bardun? What a lovely couple!
But you must tell me. Were they able to find my son?" - Your son is dead.
- "Dead … no … that isn't possible ….
Nothing in the sanctum should have been able to harm Khoruzoth … I don't understand …." - Why do you think Khoruzoth was safe in Thukhozod's Sanctum?
- "Well, I suppose there's no point in keeping it a secret. If Khoruzoth is dead, then the same must be true of Thukhozod.
The necromancer was my husband—and Khoruzoth's father." - I thought Thukhozod was immortal.
- "Only as immortal as the next descendant to step forward and claim the title. Bah, I knew that man would bring nothing but trouble to our family!
Please. I thank you for bringing me this news, but now I need to be alone." - Here's Khoruzoth's amulet. You should have it to remember him by.
- "No, I don't want that foul thing. I want to remember Khoruzoth as my son, not as Thukhozod's legacy. I should never have let him read his father's letter.
You keep the amulet. As a thank you for letting me know what happened to my son."
Notes[edit]
- Khoruzoth won't exist within the ruins before starting the quest.
- The necklace will only be awarded if you talk to Khourzoth's Mother, Yazoga, in Exile's Barrow.
- Yazoga won't exist in the village before starting the quest or reaching the related objective.
- One of the items for the House of Orsimer Glories, Thukhozod's Bracer, can be found in Thukhozod's Sanctum. It is found on a bench in the northwest corner of the lower level of the large southern room.

Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
I agreed to help Meram and Bardun complete their contract. I should check inside the ruins for the missing Orc, Khoruzoth.
Objective: Search for Khoruzoth.
|
|
I found Khoruzoth but unfortunately he was dead. I took an amulet he was wearing that bore his name so it can be returned to his mother. I should take it to Meram and let her know what I found.
Objective: Talk to Meram Farr.
|
|
Meram offered to buy the amulet from me in the hope that she can sell it for a profit to someone interested in the legend of Thukhozod. But Khoruzoth's mother would likely want it to remember her son by. I need to decide what to do with the amulet.
Complete one: Sell the amulet to Meram Farr or Find Khoruzoth's mother
|
|
(if return amulet to mother) I decided to track down Khoruzoth's mother, Yazoga, to give her his amulet and tell her what happened to her son.
Objective: Talk to Yazoga.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
