Summary

Displays information about a book or compilation of books, including the full text. If the book is a compilation of several existing books, see {{Game Book Compilation}}.

Parameters

In addition to the parameters below, the following parameters are loaded from the book page and may be overridden as necessary by specifying a value for them: author, authprefix, coded, compilation, description, hasmap, news, note, poem, sortkey, sumauthor, sumtitle, textnote, title. See {{Lore Book}} for documentation.

Game Book

Parameter	Scope	Description
lorename	optional	Name of book in Lore namespace (without "Lore: prefix"). If not provided PAGENAME will be used.
section excludesection	optional	Name of the section of the book to transclude (or exclude) if not transcluding the whole thing. Sections must be defined using <section> tags.
gametrans	optional	Which namespace text to use. Works similar to ns_base, but does not affect the page's trail. Primarily intended for mods.
nobox	optional	Set to "yes" to hide the Book Information box.
nocat	optional	Set to "yes" to skip Categories.
nodiv	optional	Do not use the <div> that formats text as a book. Use this if a book is entirely graphical or in a different font.
noheader	optional	Remove the book header entirely.
nosnake	optional	Prevents text snaking around the infobox. This means the entire book will be the width of the left-hand side of the page. This is useful primarily for centered text, so the center point stays the same below the infobox as it was above it.
notrans	optional	Do not transclude anything. This overrides lorename, section, and excludesection.
notrail	optional	Set to "yes" to hide the usual breadcrumb trail.
Book Data
addafter	optional	Game-specific book text to be added after the main body of the book.
addbefore	optional	Game-specific book text to be added before the main body of the book.
collection	optional	The name of the collection the book belongs to.
comment	optional	Freeform comment that is displayed as "Notes" at the bottom of the infobox
faction	optional	Associated faction for book.
factionname	optional	Alternate name for faction (only used if faction is present).
icon icon2 icon3	optional	Inventory icons, without the leading File:.
id id2 id3 id4 id5	optional	IDs.
linktitle	optional	Name of the book to be used in links. This also defaults to LABELNAME. It should only be overridden when the parenthetical phrase on the end is actually part of the book's title and not used for disambiguation.
loc	optional	Location(s) where the book is found. If the game has multiple world-level zones (such as ESO), the zone name will not be listed unless the book appears in multiple zones.
map	optional	Map marker(s) added by book.
mod	optional	Name of mod that adds book (if not in base version of game). Spelled out version shown on the book page itself, and optionally in an extra column on pages using {{Book Normal}}. Example: Dragonborn
next	optional	Link to next book for series books.
prev	optional	Link to previous book for series books.
quest	optional	Quest for which the book is needed.
questrel	optional	Quest to which the book is related, but not needed.
achievement	optional	Achievement to which the book is related.
skill	optional	Skill trained by book.
smod	optional	Name of mod that adds book (if not in base version of game). Short version shown as superscript after the name on pages using {{Book Normal}}. Example: DB
spell	optional	Spell trained by book.
style	optional	Crafting style for ESO books.
topic	optional	Dialogue topics added by book.
type	optional	The type of book, for categorization purposes (e.g., Category:Skyrim-Books-List 0).
