Ulmethys Hlas is a nervous Dark Elf Warrior guarding the gate to the House Redoran base in Shalmurat. He is presumably related to Mirdana Hlas, who can be found as part of the same group. It is Ulmethys who blocks your way during the events of For a Few Pieces of Iron, and you will need to either persuade him to let you through, or slay him. Despite his evident fear, he reacts with considerable bravery to any threats ("Aieee! To arms! For House Redoran!"), unless your level is 15 or higher, in which case he will shamefacedly let you through.
