Temis Lorthus

Temis Lorthus is a Dark Elf merchant. He can be found at The Red Drake inn in Helnim. This is a fact that his old friend, Garo Varsel, is unaware of, and Garo will request your assistance outside Tel Gilan in finding Temis, beginning the quest Seeking a Friend.

It transpires however that Garo is lying, and is in fact here to kill Temis. Whether Temis survives or not depends on your discretion - or intervention. Temis himself appears well aware that assassins are after him, blaming the Morag Tong.
