Kharom

Kharom is the largest cavern of the Iron Claw goblins and home of Warchief Urak.

To reach this place, either follow the high mountain road south from Hasarund, or else locate the path that rings the towers of Hendor-Stardumz, and follow it north. You'll find goblins guarding the entrance - be prepared for many, many more inside, with around 70 occupying the entire complex. This is over three times the population of other Iron Claw stronghold of Pagondha Cave in the Dominions of Dust release area.

Kharom it seems is the 'capital' of the Iron Claw tribe, with the presence of the named goblin, Warchief Urak, supporting this. Here the tribes mine iron and forge it into crude armor and weaponry. Warchief Urak itself can be found in the Forges, and is the target of one Ostrala Rouillac during the Mages Guild quest The Tower of the Enchantress.

Notable Loot[edit]

  • A small cave at the top of the Mines section contains numerous exposed Amethyst veins, making for a handsome profit.
  • The Burrows contain another Amethyst cave midway up a series of waterfalls in the center of the section.
  • A skeleton with a Glass Spear lies halfway up the Burrows' northernmost waterfall, with the locked chest beside it containing a large assortment of gemstones.
  • A Dwemer Helm can be found by what appears to be an altar in the Forges.
  • The eastern segment of the Deep Caverns includes a long corridor of Dwemer pipework, and a Dwarven Halberd can be found by a pool here.

Notes[edit]

  • The Deep Caverns of Kharom feature Dwemer architecture, and were initially intended to connect to the equally sprawling interior of Hendor-Stardumz.
