Deek-La is an Argonian scribe and a Clerk of the Census and Excise Office who can be found in the Imperial Census Office of the Ebon Tower, in Old Ebonheart. He is somewhat distressed at the burial of an important document, and will send you on the unmarked quest to retrieve it. He will reward you with the Destruction skill book, A Hypothetical Treachery, for completing this task.
He wears a common robe, a pair of common pants, and a common ring.
Like all Argonians, he is immune to poison, has a resistance to disease, and can breathe underwater, but otherwise knows no spells.
Dialogue[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Welcome to the Imperial Census Office, or what's left of it. If you're here for business, the offices have been relocated upstairs. If you're here to fix the mess those idiots made, please go right ahead."
- fix the mess:
- "The workers the head office sent us haven't made progress in days. The demolition part went very smoothly, that part they understand. It's everything after that they can't do. The worst part is the rubble is blocking the way to my old desk that has a very important document on it that I wouldn't want to get into the wrong hands. If you can get me that document, I'll make it worth your while."
- (If you have Deek-La's Poetry (rough draft)):
- "There it is! My life's work! All isn't for nought.
- [Deek-La begins to read the page.]
- Is this it? I could have sworn I wrote more than three lines. To think I was waiting for days for this, I could have just started over! Ah well, a deal is a deal. Take this book, may it inspire you as it inspired me." (Disposition +5, removed Deek-La's Poetry (rough draft) from your inventory, and you receive a copy of A Hypothetical Treachery)
- "Thank you again, %PCClass. I'll be sure to mention you in my memoirs."
