Bal Oyra, [18,23] |
Bal Oyra, Keep is a small Imperial fort that guards the town of Bal Oyra from the perils of the Sunad Mora.
Note: As of the 22.11 version of the mod (Embers of Empire) the location associated with this page has been removed. The Imperial presence has been moved to the new settlement of Nivalis
The keep at Bal Oyra is the home of Tibera Rone, the seat of power in the town. Though only occupied by five individuals besides guards, this fort nevertheless manages to service a variety of needs of a Morrowind citizen, ranging from training, to the divine and arcane. The keep has a very large main section which connects to the curtain wall, which then provides access not only to the Guild Guide at the Mages Guild Relay, but also to the dungeons. There, Jathenard can provide training as a master-at-arms, and watches over the sole prisoner, Lish gro-Garrok, who has gone on a hunger strike.
Main Section[edit]
The main area of the keep is four stories tall. The lower floor is the guards' sleeping quarters, with a bountifully provisioned storage area conveniently situated behind a corner, out of sight of the lone guard.
The second floor is where the main entrance leads, and it is essentially an Imperial Cult chapel. It is overseen by Allion Aberus, who is reputed to be a very talkative priest.
On the third floor you will find the personal chambers of Tibera Rone, a master-at-arms and the acting commander at the keep and of the town as a whole. She offers training as well as a couple quests.
The top floor of the keep is another storage area, but this one is closely guarded and thus not as accessible.
Mages Guild Relay[edit]
This is a very small Mages Guild post, essentially nothing but a Guild Guide chamber. Standing on the platform that dominates the whole room, Hessei-Lig, the only Mages Guild representative present, offers relay services to the Mages Guild in Firewatch. Despite the size of the establishment here, the Mages Guild still maintains a supply chest in the Relay room, protected by a guard.
