If followed Hadvar[edit]
If you followed Hadvar at the beginning, but joined stormcloak after that, will you see Ralof again? — Unsigned comment by 219.81.196.168 (talk) at 11:47 on 24 December 2011
- I assume that it will be like the opposite situation. Helping Ralof and becoming Imperial lets you see Hadvar, so presumably helping Hadvar and becoming a stormcloak lets you see Ralof. Also, Hadvar has some different things to say, in the case I mentioned, so you can look forward to Ralof saying something different.49.224.154.234 12:10, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

- I have the same issue, follow Hadvar, joined stormcloaks, but can't find Ralof in Riverwood to reverse pickpocket The Jagged Crown. Should I be looking in Riverwood for him now or elsewhere? Biffa (talk) 09:49, 4 October 2013 (GMT)
- I'm not sure, but I think the fella that you don't follow out of Helgen is scripted to disappear. In addition, if you switch sides using the Jagged Crown, I think the guy on the side you are switching to isn't spawned until he is needed for one of the battles to recapture a hold. It would probably take some PC testing with the
moveto
command to verify this, though. --Xyzzy Talk 13:04, 4 October 2013 (GMT)

After the war[edit]
Will Ralof stay in Riverwood even if I sided with the imperials? or does he stay somewhere else? ForsakenOne 08:07, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- If you followed Hadvar from the beginning and sided with imperials, Ralof will be disabled by script after he get in the building. I tried enable him by console after Imperial won the civil war though, he just sit side by side with Hadvar in the inn of riverwood drinking, just like followed him, finish all stormcloak quests. — Unsigned comment by Templarphoenix (talk • contribs) at 09:43 on 27 February 2012
Ralof gets killed?[edit]
This isn't really a question, but is it possible that you kill Ralof if you followed Hadvar, or Hadvar if you followed Ralof? I always imagined it that way, as the first enemies you encounter if you followed Hadvar was a female and male Stormcloak, and the male's looks resembled Ralof. And then, if you followed Ralof, the Imperial Captain and lackie, the lackie looks like Hadvar with a helmet on. Does anyone else notice that? — Unsigned comment by ThaosDM (talk • contribs) at 05:27 on 3 June 2013
- No, those people are not the same. Named characters have never been de-named so that you can kill them. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 12:58, 8 June 2013 (GMT)

- I guess one can assume that without you Ralof dies while he tries to escape on his own as in Riverwood he says "I owe him my life". So whoever you go with at the starts lives because of you, the other one dies cannonically in the Helgen Keep off camera. 93.229.227.86 06:18, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Locations[edit]
I feel that this page should have something along the lines of you see him if you sided with the stormcloaks during the jagged crown. And where will he go to after said quest? I0brendan0 (talk) 01:38, 15 March 2014 (GMT)
Ralof Disappears from Game[edit]
Well, wonder no more. He does. If you follow Hadvar from Helgen, Ralof is disabled at the door to Helgen Keep. If you join the Stormcloaks later, good luck. I'm still experimenting with the full ramifications on the Stormcloak quests like with this but it appears as though it will be quite the hassle if it's even possible to complete. If you enable him and move him to your during the Jagged Crown (and likely other Civil War quests involving him) he will move and speak like he was never gone. I will continue through the quest today and see if I can give definite examples from each point. I'm really not looking forward to Compelling Tribute and wonder if I'll even be able to do half of the quests this way...107.188.128.156 17:01, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- I can confirm as well, as can the above discussion, so I've removed the vn tag. —Legoless (talk) 22:14, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
Location of Ralof before handing in the Jagged Crown[edit]
It might not be obvious but Ralof remains in Korvanjund if you've not turned in the crown to Ulfric.
Nord barbarian[edit]
I believe this should be changed to a Nord warrior. Anuriel Nightsky (talk) 16:26, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
