Lag?[edit]

I'm not too familiar with the PS3, but I thought lag was related to the latency of an internet connection. Should this page say the PS3 version has had framerate issues? Minor Edits 06:53, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

There are two types of lag, actually. Offline Lag, and Online Lag. Offline Lag is when it is calculating lots of things, not only causing framerate to drop, but the overall speed of the game. Online Lag is related to the latency of an internet connection. --Pupdude Shall Pwn You! (Talk) 00:58, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

The Update[edit]

"As of 09/01/2012" how do we know the lag problems haven't been fixed by this date....it hasnt even happened yet. 173.72.83.141 02:53, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

get your dates right[edit]

dont know what time warp you live in but 9/1/2012 is still about 8 month away — Unsigned comment by 98.208.89.88 (talk) at 06:41 on 19 January 2012

I corrected it to MM/DD/Year since it makes more since to our English readers, but it was technically correct as it. Some countries, put their dates as DD/MM/YY. ESQuestion?EmailContribs 06:47, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Are you sure? The time stamps of our signatures seem to indicate that in the mish-mash of American-European conventions that govern this wiki, how we list the day, month, and year lines up with the European (admittedly more logical) style. Minor Edits 06:56, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Correct, on the time stamps and release dates on main pages that is true, but I was looking at it as when dates are written out, its usually M/D/Y, which is how most people, in my opinion, seem to look at it, judging from instances where dates are actually written out. Can you see my thinking? ESQuestion?EmailContribs
See thinking? Either too drunk or not drunk enough for that triumph of metaphysics, but I understand. Minor Edits 07:19, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Lol, I am going to have to steal that one. ESQuestion?EmailContribs 07:22, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
I was wondering why we didn't make it internationally standard, and, you know, actually write out the date as August 1st, 2012 (if that's what it is), so there is no confusion at all? Anyone from outside the U.S. currently sees the date as either January 9th, 2012, or January 2012th, 2009 216.75.188.49 21:52, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
I agree with the idea of writing it out as '9th January 2012'. As it is now to me 01/09/2012 looks like '1st September 2012'. This is how the rest of the site seems to have the date so I dont see why it should be different here. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 22:04, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Ps3 freeze after 1.5 update[edit]

Anyone else experiencing the system freeze issues being reported in many forums? Any time the character enters water and fully submerges, my system will freeze resulting in a power cycle. Extremely frustrating... Any news of how widespread the issue is or ETA on a fix? — Unsigned comment by 67.173.108.220 (talk) at 21:51 on 11 April 2012

It's actually from 1.5, and the third place I've put the fix.

Delete your update and game data in the game data files.

Download the update and reinstall data.

Fixed. Many thanks to The Silencer has spoken 21:56, 11 April 2012 (UTC) (When it works)

Construction set?[edit]

what do you mean by you can view the construction set on the ps3, last time i checked you could not and just play the game regularly. Also that section about non-pc users should be revised as it is a fallacy as to a hasty generalization that ps3 owners dont know how to use the CS of course you should not have the access to the CS as it ruins the gaming experience and people support mods over dlc. I know for a fact that some ps3 users mod their hardware at their own risk of voiding their warranty. So why not instead explaining how to use the CS rather than put a hasty statement saying us ps3 users lack the knowledge of how to do so? — Unsigned comment by 99.169.161.243 (talk) at 08:01 on 7 June 2012

It never suggested it was available on PS3. The CS is hard to understand even for PC users, the CK is easier to understand but not mentioned here. When it says PC users it doesn't mean PC gamers, those who use a PC are more likely to understand something written for computers than console exclusive players. The link takes you to a page describing how to understand the cs not the cs itself. The Silencer has spokenTalk 07:23, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

1.6?[edit]

Does anyone know how long left until mounted combat arrives for ps3 or whether it is actually coming to ps3?--82.46.168.98 10:15, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

There is no news on this. As long as dawnguard is still coming to PS3 then 1.6 will come first as there is some required data in the patch. My guess is that Sony are trying to solve the water transition bug before release, and they have some time yet before it is required. The Silencer speaksTalk 19:28, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Done. Included in 1.7. :) --Pupdude Shall Pwn You! (Talk) 00:59, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

DLC Section[edit]

I've removed the unnecessary and misplaced DLC section from the page. The same information was removed from Skyrim:Xbox 360 per discussion on the talk page; since this article has even less relevance, I've also removed it here. A section detailing the differences in DLC availability, e.g. the PS3's current situation with Dawnguard, may be worth including in the future if the situation persists. —Legoless (talk) 22:45, 24 September 2012 (GMT)
