What makes an NPC "stewardable"?[edit]
I expected to find changes (like an added faction) in the NPC records in Hearthfires.esm that accounted for an NPC being available as a steward, but this isn't what's doing it. E.g., Dawnguard's Ingjard is available as a steward, but is not edited by Hearthfires.esm (which doesn't required Dawnguard.esm as a master anyway). Mainly wondering how to make some mod-added followers available for stewardhood. 73.71.61.56 06:13, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Some are more optional than others[edit]
I do not believe Farming works if you disable Hearthfire, as basically the entire Special Edition's deal is that it comes with all three DLCs. The other way around, however, of having Hearthfire but not Farming? Why, that works just fine; and it's what most people will have. Which is why I had phrased it that way. --Gez (talk) 13:44, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Personal Stewards are a Hearthfire mechanic, and that is indicated on the page by the {{Mod Header}}. It could be made clearer that the Goldenhills steward is simply an extension of a Hearthfire system, but describing Farming as "optional" doesn't mean anything when both DLCs are optional additions to the game.
- I would nearly suggest removing any mention of Farming from the lead sentence to make this clearer; we are already using CC to indicate that Goldenhills is Creation Club content. Personal Stewards are arguably not a feature of the Farming Creation at all, it simply makes use of this existing Hearthfire system. We don't need to assume anyone is running Farming without Hearthfire, since that option doesn't officially exist. —Legoless (talk) 14:03, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
