Possible Bug[edit]
I may have found a bug. I did this quest but didn't receive the associated achievement on Steam. I had started both this and the imperial quest line and finished this one (and then all the other Stormcloak quests) so I have the achievements for taking Solitude, but not for choosing sides. Can anyone confirm? This was on PC. — Unsigned comment by 82.210.249.81 (talk) at 13:58 on 19 January 2012
Bossible Pug[edit]
Galmar asks my character why a -foreigner- wants to join the Stormcloaks etc etc but my character is a Nord. Is this normal? — Unsigned comment by Sniffles (talk • contribs) at 17:50 on 11 February 2013
- The same thing happened to my Nord character, but I figured it had something to do with the character being a vampire. Anyway, the same thing is reported on Galmar's talk page, apparently he thinks that anyone who's trying to cross the border is a foreigner, Nord or not. Are there any examples or is there any in-game data of him saying something different to Nords? Bram (talk) 09:51, 4 March 2013 (GMT)
Bug still not fixed (but says it is on main page)[edit]
Bugs
Galmar would not complete Joining the Stormcloaks properly if Season Unending was an active quest
This bug is fixed by version 1.4 of the Official Skyrim Patch.
I even tried taking the Jagged Crown to Ulfric, but that didn't work either. --50.160.211.34 05:25, 1 November 2013 (GMT) EDIT:--NibKing (talk) 19:57, 3 November 2013 (GMT)
- Update - I ended up being forced to join the Legion (because of Galmar bug), but was able to switch sides by giving the Jagged Crown to Ulfric only after completing the Season Unending quest. --NibKing (talk) 19:57, 3 November 2013 (GMT)
Potions are conditional?[edit]
I've just gotten the potions from Galmar for the first time, which is what led me here. Is there some dialog choice that unlocks this, or does he only give them to Nords? 68.200.101.47 23:47, 7 December 2014 (GMT)
- Quick check of the Creation Kit shows me that the dialogue that is simply "We'll see about that, won't we?" and not "We'll see about that, won't we? Here. Take this. You'll need it. Use it on the island. Don't lose it. That's all the help you're getting. Try not to die." is dependent on a level check. You'll get the former (i.e. no potions) if you're level 20 or above. At least, that's what the CK says - is this consistent with your experience? likelolwhat talk lulzy to me 03:38, 8 December 2014 (GMT)
A Different Method[edit]
Can you just take an Ice Wraith Essence to Galmar rather than going all that way — Unsigned comment by 82.0.27.121 (talk) at 19:45 on 25 May 2015
