Training[edit]

As a test (PC) I brought her some Frost Salts when my Alteration skill had reached 76, and she could no longer train me conventionally. Gave her the Salts, and my Alt. increased to 77. (Almost) free skill boosts in excess of what she'd otherwise be capable of. Others should confirm and if found to be consistent - should definitely be added to the article (and perhaps as a footnote on the Trainers page). ComaDivine 06:10, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

That happens with anybody who trains and gives out skill quest for example that orc in Markarth who you can train with until you surpass her then give her the book and she'll up you another level on smithing, quest reward 99.117.5.219 06:14, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Not only that, but I found if you pickpocket the Frost Salts from her after giving it to her, the "What do you do in Kynesgrove?" option appears again, and you can give her the Frost Salts again for another free level of Alteration. It only seems to work once though. --24.92.180.9 12:12, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
I was able to repeat this trick more than once. — Unsigned comment by 188.10.66.101 (talk) at 14:14 on 27 September 2012

Moved from page[edit]

I'm not sure of this is a glitch/bug/sheer fluke or what, so I've put it here and will let better minds than mine decide where it belongs. Sorry if it rambles a bit but this is the first time I've ever added something like this, so: I was in the Braidwood Inn in Kynesgrove. Dravynea was standing behind the counter and I decided to have a look in her pockets, the contents of which listed thus; Carrot, Frost Salts (presumably from the Favor she requests of you, which I had done at this point), Silver Necklace, 18000 gold, Salt Pile. Yes, 18000 gold. Naturally, I tried to pick-pocket this obscene amount of gold - which was more than I had at the time - but, at 0% chance, I never got away with it. The next time I loaded up that same save game, she had only a relatively normal amount (235) of gold on her. In subsequent reloads, though, the 18000 has been back. I've never been able to successfully pick-pocket it, though I have taken none of the perks in the Pick-pocket tree. Again, I do not know if this is normal (perhaps related to the above Merchant bug, though the part about her not having a useful amount of merchant gold seems to be very wrong!) If others could investigate this and contribute their experiences - and hopefully their successful attempts to Pick-pocket this gold - I (and I'm sure many other players) would be most interested. —added to page by 86.163.176.191 on 16:59, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Did you train in Alteration with her? When you train the gold goes into the trainers inventory and not there "merchant available" gold. If you plan to pick pocket your gold after training I suggest doing it after each level so that the amount of gold is not 0% pick pocketable. 64.201.177.59 15:16, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
In regard to the training, no - the only trainers I've used are the Archery and Sneak guys, I didn't even realise Dravynea WAS a Trainer until your post. — Unsigned comment by Shayoli (talkcontribs) at 18:59 on 6 February 2012
Haven't seen this myself, though i also have never checked her pockets, but if a person were to encounter this, he could take advantage of a paralysis spell to ensure success in pickpocketing the gold. Just a thought. 68.102.76.133 02:53, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
