Icecrag Causeway is is a new location added by the Echoes of the Vale Verified Creation. It is located between the Wayshrine of Learning and the Wayshrine of Resolution, at the top of the hill past the first Frost Giant. Instead of turning right toward the Paragon Platform, continue up the hill.
Exterior[edit]
The cave entrance is located high up on the mountainside, and is decorated with a Troll Skull and several strings with bones much like in Giant Camps. The cave mouth is wide and lined with sharp icicles.
Interior[edit]
The cavern is spacious with a high ceiling, and divided by a furrow cut into the floor east to west by a stream. A makeshift bridge of several logs side by side spans the crevasse; on the other side (the north streambank) stands a Frost Giant (refID xx3d81a3, objectID 0200e25a). This Frost Giant carries leveled loot, but no Paragon. It is very bad-tempered, and has already killed two Falmer who dared to intrude into the cave. A mammoth skull, two impaled troll skulls, and yet more bones demonstrate the giant’s hostility and battle prowess.
East of the giant on the north bank of the stream, there is a tunnel that leads further onward. You can avoid the giant completely by moving downstream and using at least two words of Whirlwind Sprint. If you fall short and land in the stream, the Frost Giant can descend into the streambed and pursue you. There is an exit at the east end of the cavern where the stream goes over a waterfall, if you wish to escape.
The north tunnel, after a few twists and turns, leads to Icecrag Lair.
Bugs[edit]
Two ore veins in the north tunnel don’t activate properly when hovered over, forcing you to mine manually.
