Search for an ill-fated gambler at the pit fights in Cragslane Cavern. Quick Walkthrough

1. Go to the Mistveil Keep Barracks in Riften.
2. Find and read the Guard's Dossier on Antonius.
3. Find Antonius in Cragslane Cavern.
4. Read Antonius' Note.
5. Obtain the armor from the collector at the Bee and Barb in Riften.

Detailed Walkthrough

This quest can be started by heading to the Mistveil Keep Barracks in Riften. Go inside and up to the second floor. In one of the corners find a dresser with Guard's Dossier: Antonius atop of it. Once it has been read, the quest will begin.

The next destination is Cragslane Cavern located just off the road between Riften and Windhelm, North of Shor's Stone and West of Ansilvund. The entrance has a Bouncer and a couple of Pit wolves in cages. Defeat them and go inside. Further in find the Pit Wolf fighting arena. Fight off the various titled foes before finding the corpse of Antonius who is already dead. Loot his body to find "Antonius' Note" and read it. It indicates that as a gambler he incurred some debts and sold his unique armor to a collector in Riften.

Next head back to Riften and visit the Bee and Barb tavern. Once inside, look for a patron named "The Collector". There are a few options at this point which all result in the same outcome. You can attempt to persuade or intimidate the Collector into "leaving the city's protection" or purchase the armor from them. If you convince the Collector to leave Riften, you can try to kill or pickpocket them for the armor once they are outside the city.

Notes

• The Armor Collector carries "Orders" that can be pickpocketed.

Notes

• Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
• Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
• On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ccBGSSSE055_Quest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest ccBGSSSE055_Quest.
