Lack of Blessing[edit]

(moved from article)

Since he does not appear to have the "blessing" of Sheogorath, his entry into the Shivering Isle presumably came about from lucky timing: getting past the unlocked Gates of Madness shortly after you defeated the first Gatekeeper, but before the Resonator of Judgement was reactivated or the Gatekeeper was rebuilt.

Nice theory, but looks like random guesswork to me. --RpehTCE 11:34, 13 December 2007 (EST)

The only guesswork is whether or not Pyke is actually insane, or 'blessed' as it were. The only way a sane adventurer can get past the Gatekeeper is to kill it for the keys (at least for the first one. Don't know if new keys were put in the rebuilt Gatekeeper). And then Xedillian comes into play, luring new adventurers into the trap. Then again, maybe Pyke did get caught at Xedillian and went bonkers. Still, the presence of a fellow Cyrodiil resident in the Shivering Isles is both nostalgic and a little jarring-- you know what you had to do in order to get into the place, so you have to wonder just what he did to do the same.Dark Spark 00:32, 14 December 2007 (EST)

Essential[edit]

I don't think he's essential, I saved the settlement for gold and he died by the hand of the creatures. Puddle 16:53 April 11, 2008

Fixed. He's essential until the end of the related quest. –RpehTCE 11:58, 11 April 2008 (EDT)

Zoe Malene and Pyke's Conversations[edit]

These two love birds dialogues are driving me crazy! Since a lot of this information is just as relevant to Zoe Malene as Pyke I would like some extra guidance on how to take care of these two dialogues (The order that they are supposed to go in is also quite infuriating by the way, the most complex dialogue paths that I've come across). I'll write them all down here for convenience until I can sort through this. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:46, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Zoe Greeting "Our love has made me the happiest woman in the Isles."

Zoe Greeting "Do you miss your home, love?"

Pyke Greeting "Hello, my darling. Are you having a good day?"

Pyke reply to Zoe "And I feel the same. I am the happiest man in the Isles and all Cyrodiil."

Pyke reply to Zoe "No, Zoe. I don't. Everything I want is right here with you."

Pyke reply to Zoe "Your words warm my heart, my love. Being here is the best choice I've made in my life."

Pyke reply to Zoe "Words like that make me happy to be here with you."

Pyke reply to Zoe "Don't fret, my love... I'm here. Be happy."

Pyke reply to Zoe "There, there, my dear. Everything will be just fine. Don't worry."

Zoe reply to Pyke "Yes, my love. I am ready to begin another day anew with you. That's all I need."

Zoe reply to Pyke "Yes, love. With you here, everything will be fine."

Zoe reply to Pyke "Not really. I was all set to paint the waters of the coast and I'm all out of azure."

Zoe reply to Pyke "No. I still can't decide what to paint today. The trees? The sky? It's all so complicated!"

Zoe reply to Pyke "We shall celebrate our love tonight, my darling."

Zoe reply to Pyke "You make me so happy, Pyke. I will stop my other portraits and paint a picture of this moment to capture it in time."

Zoe farewell "I love you, Pyke."

Pyke farewell "I love you, Zoe."

They are probably randomized and therefore hard to sort out. If that is the case, maybe we shouldn't bother - but if anyone can figure out how to sort them, I think they belong on Zoe's page. I'll try and listen to a few of the convo's, just to see if I can make any sense out of it. --Krusty 09:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Better late than never - managed to forget my promise from June 5th. Nevertheless, here's a bunch of in-game conversations:
Do you miss your home, love?
No, Zoe. I don't. Everything I want is right here with you.
You make me so happy, Pyke. I will stop my other portraits and paint a picture of this moment to capture it in time.
I love you, Zoe.
Our love has made me the happiest woman in the Isles.
And I feel the same. I am the happiest man in the Isles and all Cyrodiil.
We shall celebrate our love tonight, my darling.
I love you, Zoe.
Hello, my darling. Are you having a good day?
No. I still can't decide what to paint today. The trees? The sky? It's all so complicated!
There, there, my dear. Everything will be just fine. Don't worry.
I love you, Pyke.
Hello, my darling. Are you having a good day?
Yes, love. With you here, everything will be fine.
Words like that make me happy to be here with you.
I love you, Pyke.
Hello, my darling. Are you having a good day?
Not really. I was all set to paint the waters of the coast and I'm all out of azure.
There, there, my dear. Everything will be just fine. Don't worry.

Your words warm my heart, my love. Being here is the best choice I've made in my life.

I love you, Pyke.
It is pretty obvious how this is done. Pyke is always happy like a cloud, while Zoe will change her mood and cause Pyke to react in two different ways. It is definitely worth including on Zoe Malene's page, but I'm waay to tired to think of a solution right now. Please, people - if you can think of a good way to make this work on Zoe's page, just add it - it COULD be a table, or something else... Goodnight! :) --Krusty 00:16, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
I went ahead and made something weird in my sandbox. Not too sure if I like it though... I think if we could get audio files of the conversations, then we could add them into tables without it being so mundane. Elliot (talk) 00:40, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
Uploading audio files of existing dialogue is dangerous territory and should probably be avoided. I think this can be solved with a rather simple table. I'll give it a go tomorrow. --Krusty 01:06, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
Haha sorry, I typically start with the most complex option then slowly backtrack... maybe I should work on reversing that? I am slightly worried about having a wall o' text though. Elliot (talk) 01:08, 3 July 2011 (UTC)

() Okay, here's a quick table:

Zoe Pyke Zoe Pyke
"Our love has made me the happiest woman in the Isles." "And I feel the same. I am the happiest man in the Isles and all Cyrodiil." or

"Your words warm my heart, my love. Being here is the best choice I've made in my life."

"We shall celebrate our love tonight, my darling." or

"You make me so happy, Pyke. I will stop my other portraits and paint a picture of this moment to capture it in time."

"I love you, Zoe."
"Do you miss your home, love?" "No, Zoe. I don't. Everything I want is right here with you." "We shall celebrate our love tonight, my darling." or

"You make me so happy, Pyke. I will stop my other portraits and paint a picture of this moment to capture it in time."

"I love you, Zoe."
Pyke Zoe Pyke Zoe
"Hello, my darling.
Are you having a good day?"
"Yes, my love. I am ready to begin another day anew with you. That's all I need." or

"Yes, love. With you here, everything will be fine."

"Your words warm my heart, my love. Being here is the best choice I've made in my life." or

"Words like that make me happy to be here with you."

"I love you, Pyke."
"Hello, my darling.
Are you having a good day?"
"Not really. I was all set to paint the waters of the coast and I'm all out of azure." or

"No. I still can't decide what to paint today. The trees? The sky? It's all so complicated!"

"Don't fret, my love... I'm here. Be happy." or

"There, there, my dear. Everything will be just fine. Don't worry."

"I love you, Pyke."

It covers all the dialogue options and the random replies, but looks a bit clumsy. Either we break down the table to avoid redundant quotes - or think of something else. Any suggestions? --Krusty 08:35, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
