Name?[edit]

Does the name "Tamriel Guard" actually appear anywhere in-game? I was under the impression that it was just the name of a guard NPC from early Justice builds. —Legoless (talk) 16:12, 4 May 2015 (GMT)

This is from the game data: "In your travels, you will notice that Tamriel Guards enforce the law." Since only a certain type of guards can arrest you and accept your bounty, isn't that a suitable name for their faction?  ~Shuryard (talk) 16:24, 4 May 2015 (GMT)
Not entirely convinced it's intended to be a faction, but if that's what they're calling the feature in the help files then it seems fine as a page name. —Legoless (talk) 16:54, 4 May 2015 (GMT)

Nonexistent guards[edit]

I'm pretty sure most of the guards listed here don't exist in game. S'ren-ja's guards are simply called "Dominion Guard", Shornhelm's is just "Covenant Guard" just to name a few. Contraptions (talk) 21:01, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

A lot of these were probably pre-1.6 guards that were removed from the game. Feel free to remove them from this list, but it'd help if you could add a deprecated tag to any NPCs that no longer exist in-game. —Legoless (talk) 21:13, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Naming issue[edit]

I just realized the guards found in Cyrodiil are also called Dominion/Covenant/Pact Guard, but of course have different appearances, skills and stats. Perhaps a separate page for the various guards in Cyrodiil should be created to prevent clashes. Contraptions (talk) 20:53, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Sounds good. How about "Pact Guard (Cyrodiil)" and "Pact Guard (Justice)"? —Legoless (talk) 20:54, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Hmm ok. As for the other types of Cyrodiil guards like Pact Mender, Pact Honor Guard, Pact Mage Guard etc. should we also lump them under a separate faction/page? Not sure what to call it though. Contraptions (talk) 21:14, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
They should probably be categorized as Ebonheart Pact, but I don't see a great need to list them all together anywhere. —Legoless (talk) 22:05, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Sure. Contraptions (talk) 05:57, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
