Original alliance quests during Cadwell's Silver[edit]

What will happen to my ability to travel to places in my original alliance after I've started Cadwell's Silver, and will I still be able to start/finish quests there? Will there be any difference between doing quests in the original alliance with a lvl 1-49 character and a veteran character? --Holomay (talk) 21:46, 22 February 2015 (GMT)

No changes at all to the original zones. Once you begin Cadwell's Silver, the only things that happen are the ability to travel to Vulkhel/Daggerfall/Davon's Wayshrine, and the ability to enter all Silver zones through exiting group dungeons or travelling there. —Legoless (talk) 22:18, 22 February 2015 (GMT)
Thanks! Personally, I was mainly concerned about my ability to still verify NPCs, dialogue, quests, and to take screenshots in the original alliance. :) The mechanics of what's going to happen at lvl 50 are still not quite clear to me, even after reading God of Schemes, Cadwell's Almanac and Leveling. Why is the recommended level for this quest Veteran Rank1? Isn't it the required level? --Holomay (talk) 10:00, 23 February 2015 (GMT)
It's a bit of a strange system, agreed. Essentially, activating the Light of Meridia puts you into your second alliance's starter city. To get back to your original alliance (and all the content you have yet to complete), you just have to use a wayshrine. The level is recommended because the only requirement is completion of God of Schemes. If you complete God of Schemes at Lvl 45, you can go straight to Silver afterwards. However, the enemies you will encounter there are VR1, hence the recommendation. --Enodoc (talk) 11:26, 23 February 2015 (GMT)
However, VR1 is required to enter Craglorn, since the only way to activate the Belkarth Wayshrine is through the Star-Gazers quest. —Legoless (talk) 18:59, 23 February 2015 (GMT)

Magisters and Hall Stewards[edit]

It looks to me that magisters of the Mages Guild local branches and hall stewards of the Fighters Guild branches do not appear in Veteran zones' guildhalls. I am wondering if it is caused by the completion of the Guilds' quest lines? Is there a way to complete the main quest without completing Mages Guild quest line for instance? ~ Shuryard (talk) 16:24, 2 March 2015 (GMT)

Hmm, interesting. Haven't actually started any Cadwell's, but when I do I'll go check this out. I'm pretty sure you can complete the Main Quest without doing any guild quests, but I haven't actually tested that. I think the main reason for this would be so that the dialogue and storylines of the guilds stays consistent. Sending you off to your original zones, where those quests take place, doesn't fit in with the 'alternate history' setup of Cadwell's. When you first join one of them, they state how they are not part of <your alliance> but still serve <your leader> in their own way. In another territory this dialogue wouldn't work either. I think therefore it's likely to be how Cadwell's is set up in general, and not dependent on quest completion. --Enodoc (talk) 16:37, 2 March 2015 (GMT)
