Missable?[edit]

OK, so I:

- Started playing when Morrowind came out, did the Broken Bonds tutorials etc there. Spent most of my first 50 playing hours there actually.

- Traveled to Bleakrock one day using a wayshrine. Completed Underfoot, started Frozen Man, Hozzin's, and Lost On Bleakrock.

- Talked to Holsgar and got utterly confused by his dialogue about getting pulled from the sea.

- Left the island and did other stuff.

(at some point possibly before but probably after my trip to bleakrock, I went to Anvil to join the Dark Brotherhood and got accosted by someone telling me to see the Benefactor)

THEN:

- I actually went to see the benefactor, did Soul Shriven.

- Woke up in Bleakrock to the Prophet telling me what happened.

NOW:

- Mathor says Rana wants to speak to me.

- Rana says "I could use your help" and my only option is "Goodbye"

- Riurik just tells me to leave him alone.

So I think it's possible to not be given this quest at all... — Unsigned comment by 87.118.116.12 (talk) at 11:31 on 18 June 2018‎

Yes. If you start any of the storyline quests which come after this one first, this one will not trigger and you can indeed miss it. Rana should give you The Missing of Bleakrock instead, but it's possible this may not trigger either if one of the other Bleakrock quests is currently active. --Enodoc (talk) 10:46, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
