When you approach them, they will be none too polite. It will be up to you to teach them some manners. Each will randomly say:

"You're standing too close."

"Yes, outsider?"

"What do you want?"

"I don't think I received your tribute today. Pay up."

To which you can reply:

The Sentinels' days of terrorizing the fort are over. Face me in combat!

"Another fool with a death wish. But for the sport of it, why don't you make the first strike? If it doesn't kill me, I'll finish you off quick."

Or...

Time to pay, Sentinel. Face me in combat!

"Hmm. I was hoping for more of a challenge. Since you don't look so tough, I'll let you have the first strike."

They will then ready themselves to fight you:

Redoran Sentinel "You don't look so tough."

Once you have thrashed them thoroughly, they will relent:

Redoran Sentinel "Mercy! I yield!"

Redoran Sentinel "Enough! I surrender!"

Redoran Sentinel "Victory is yours. I submit."

After the quest, they will be much more subdued:

"Your skills are truly impressive, outsider."

"I can't believe you defeated us. What a sorry day for the Sentinels."

"Go away. I want nothing else to do with you!"

"Go and gloat somewhere else, outsider."
