Quest-Related Events[edit]

Azandar needs to collect some specific items from his past to guard against The Adversary. One of these is an Aetheric Rubric, which Azandar threw at the previous leader of the Star-Gazers when he left them.

When you enter Star-Gazers' Observatory, a Khajiit Star-Gazer will walk up to you and Azandar:

Lillurazha: "Azandar al-Cybiades! Last time I saw you, you threw an aetheric construct at the High Astrologer's head."
Azandar: "Hah! I'd forgotten that! It was the only way to get through to that simpleton. Coincidentally, if you believe in such things, I have need of that rubric. Any chance it's still around?"

Speak with Lillurazha to see what she knows:

"Azandar seems to have mellowed, somewhat. He's been here a few moments and he's hardly insulted anyone.
That rubric he made … it's probably tucked away in an old chest or barrel. We rarely throw away anything around here."
Were you and Azandar friends when he was with the order?
"This is somewhat embarrassing. He was a big talker, lots of energy, a fun person to talk to. I had a bit of a crush on him.
I'm not sure he ever noticed, to be honest. He was more interested in arguing with the senior members than me."
And then he threw something at the High Astrologer?
"That was a long time ago, I have to imagine he's become less … impetuous since then. And I'm married, thank the stars!
You're welcome to look for the rubric. I'd try chests and coffers first, it has to be around here somewhere."
I will, thank you.

After you find the Aetheric Rubric upstairs:

"Ah, you found it. Good luck to you both. I wish him well.
Azandar's time here was brief but memorable. He never quite fit in. But then, the Star-Gazers aren't for everyone."
