When approached they will greet you with one of the following:

"Greetings"

"What?"

"Stars brought you here. What do you want?"

"Fair day, stranger"

Malareth sent me.

"Should have known. Look, she's taken everything."

[Intimidate] I can easily take what you owe.

[Persuade] It will be easier on us both if you just pay her.

"Stars take you both! Fine. Here's the coin. Just go."

You know what happens when you can't pay up.

"Yeah? Let's see what you've got. Today's the day someone finally stands up to Malareth!"

Hold on there– (Conversation ends)

If it's that bad, I'll cover you.

"You'd, you'd do that? Such generosity!"

Right. Get out of here. [0000002020 ]

Alternatively:

Malareth says you owe her.

"To Oblivion with Malareth! She already has all the coin!"

[Intimidate] I think you know what happens if you don't pay up.

Sure, sure. Pay up.

"Just another of Malareth's mercenaries. Always with the same message. This time you get nothing!"

Hold up– (Ends conversation)

I'll pay your way this time. Keep out of trouble.

"Words fail! Malareth will never see this face, ever again."

If the Gambler is threatened, they may stand up to you:

Gambler: "The threats end now."

Once you have beaten them up, they will hand you the gold and run away:

Gambler: "You win! You win! Here's your coin."

Gambler: "Stop! Take it, take it all."

After dealing with his debt in whatever manner, he will then run off.
