Dialogue[edit]
Dame Fayda and Druid Galphen's dialogue will depend on your progress through the Galen storyline:
Before completing A Sea of Troubles:
- Dame Fayda: "Your people are in as much danger as everyone else, Galphen. Sea Elves make no distinctions when it comes to staging raids."
- Druid Galphen: "I didn't say we weren't, Dame Fayda. But the Stonelore can fend for themselves. We always have."
- Dame Fayda: "I'm simply suggesting that you bring your people into the city. The Vine District has room enough for more druids."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Such a sad and disappointing season in which to live. Our Firesong brothers and sisters have become a dark cloud, blotting out the sun's bright light. If you must leave the city, do remain cautious. The island's dangers are a hundredfold right now."
After attending the disastrous Draoife during A Sea of Troubles:
- Druid Galphen: "I can't believe the Firesong betrayed us. Attacking the Draoife … how will that bring the circles together?"
- Dame Fayda: "The Firesong will answer for this crime, Galphen. By House Mornard's honor, this I so swear!"
- Druid Galphen: "I don't want vengeance, Fayda. I don't want more death. I just … I just want my friends back."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "The Dream of Kasorayn has long been a subject of debate among the druid circles, but to go to war over a prophecy? That's madness!"
After completing Tides of Ruin:
- Dame Fayda: "Please, Galphen. Remain in the city. There's a danger coming. Vastyr's walls can protect us all."
- Druid Galphen: "Yes, the city walls can protect the city folk. And the druids of the Vine District. But what about the rest of my brothers and sisters?"
- Dame Fayda: "Sir Stefan has a plan. Together we can all defend Galen from the Dreadsail pirates. It just makes sense."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Fayda means well, but if the druids are coming to help defend the city, I must also do my part. I may not be a trained knight like she is, but I've learned a thing or two roaming about the wilderness. Tell her I don't require protection."
After completing The Siege of Vastyr, Dame Fayda will no longer be with Galphen, and the druid will be speaking to Sir Balnon to find out what happened to Fayda:
- Druid Galphen: "Please. I'm looking for Dame Fayda. She was with the knights protecting the cathedral district during the attack."
- Sir Balnon: "We're still sorting this all out. As soon as I have news about Dame Fayda, I'll send word to you, druid."
- Druid Galphen: "I—of course, I understand. After the cathedral collapsed, I just want to know that she's safe. I'll check back later."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Dame Fayda went to defend the cathedral when the Sea Elves attacked. Our knight have come back since the fighting ended, yet I've seen no signs of Fayda.
She's all right, isn't she? She has to be!"
After the events of The Dream of Kasorayn:
- Druid Galphen: "Sir Balnon, I heard the Firesong took captives to Y'ffelon. Mornard knights, commoners, and druids alike. Is this true?"
- Sir Balnon: "Galphen, I know you're concerned about Dame Fayda, but I can neither confirm nor deny those reports."
- Druid Galphen: "The Firesong have broken the path and someone has to do something! I'll volunteer to help. Tell me who to talk to!"
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Druid Laurel has mentioned how much you have done for the people of Galen, mainlander. I know it's a lot to ask, but I hope you continue to help us. For all our sakes."
After the events of Guardian of Y'ffelon, you can return to Vastyr to find that Dame Fayda has returned:
- Dame Fayda: "Sir Balnon told me how insistent you were, Galphen. Called you a royal pain in the arse!"
- Druid Galphen: "I couldn't bear thinking of you, trapped in a cage on Y'ffelon. If my complaints helped convince Sir Stefan to save you and the others, I can live with the insult."
- Dame Fayda: "Sir Stefan and the mainlander. They saved us all and put an end to Archdruid Orlaith. And brought me back to you."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Ah, friend! Thank you for helping to rescue the captives from Y'ffelon. Through your efforts, Dame Fayda has been returned to me. I mean, to us. Praise Y'ffre for small favors!"
During the events of The Hidden Lord and The Ivy Throne:
- Druid Galphen: "I thought our troubles were over after all the death and destruction, but something worse is coming, Fayda."
- Dame Fayda: "I feel it, too. Like a dark storm on the horizon."
- Druid Galphen: "I'm worried, Fayda. I don't think Galen's troubles are over."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "Be wary, friend. The islands grow angry. Something tries to fully awaken Mount Firesong and I fear what consequences that will bring."
Once you have completed The Ivy Throne:
- Dame Fayda: "Was all this bloodshed really the result of a druidic prophecy, Galphen?"
- Druid Galphen: "I'm afraid so, Fayda. Sometimes religious conviction can drive even the best of us to do terrible things."
- Dame Fayda: "Well, at least the Ascendant Lord has been defeated. And we found each other, Galphen. That's the sunlight breaking through the clouds."
Speaking with Druid Galphen at this point:
- "The spirit of Mount Firesong has quieted and the volcano has been destroyed. I assume we have you to thank for that?
Now that peace is restored, I've asked Fayda to come away with me. I hope she agrees. I think the life of a druid will suit her."
