Quest-Related Events[edit]
Prior to liberating the town from the Red Rooks, he'll tell you:
- "They killed Heseph. They gave Gelves everything he demanded to keep the townsfolk safe. Even surrendered his own house.
They killed Heseph anyway. Our beloved mayor. They killed him in cold blood!"
When Tamien has sent you to speak to him to enlist his support, you will encourage him to stand up against the Red Rooks:
- The Red Rooks killed the mayor of Crosswych?
- "Weren't you listening? They killed him! First, they ran the watch out of town. Then they took over our businesses. Now they murdered the mayor!
They extort, threaten, and murder to their heart's content! And no one can stop them!" - Tamien Sellan is organizing the people. We're going to fight back.
- "Are you mad? Everyone who tried is either dead or enslaved in the mines.
We can't win. The Red Rooks are too powerful. I just lost my best friend. I don't want to lose anyone else." - It doesn't sound like the mayor gave up.
- "You didn't even know him … you ….
No, you're right. Heseph wasn't a soldier, but he was a strategist. He was trying to work around these bastards. The least I can do is continue what he started. I'll do whatever Sellan asks."
Speaking to him again:
- "Heseph never gave up. And neither will I.
I'll help Selan rally the townsfolk. We'll make these bastards pay."
After enlisting the support of all the councilors and before speaking to Tamien:
- "You were right. Nothing good ever comes from giving up. We have to fight for what's ours."
After Sternis Gelves is killed:
- "Tamien sent word to the Lion Guard. They'll help us get the town back to normal."
