I realize this might be a stupid question, but what exactly is the difference between this, and shock shield, effect wise? For as far as i could read they both reduce shock damage with percentage's KrazorM 16:26, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Shock Shield also works as a Shield. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 16:29, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Still taking damage from a Storm Atronarch[edit]

I'm wearing the Storm Ring (100% resistance to shock) and even holding a Shield of Lightning (8% Shock Shield), but somehow I am still taking damage from a storm atronarch's lightning. Is this a bug, or is there something wrong with my assumption that I shouldn't be harmed at all? I don't have any items on me or curses that would lead to weakness to shock, so I can't see an explanation there. Doomshifter 07:29, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

is it possible its using a melee attack? (Eddie the head 07:32, 23 April 2011 (UTC))
No, it isn't. It was well and truly out of melee range. I tried this with other enemies. It seems that only the Storm Atronarch seems to be able to do it. I even tried an Atronarch that couldn't reach me (he was stuck up on a ledge in a plane of Oblivion) who flung spells down at me, which managed to harm me. Doomshifter 17:39, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
uhmm.. the only thing i can think of is that storm atronarch's are the strongest of atronarch's, do you still take regular shock damage? (Eddie the head 23:59, 23 April 2011 (UTC))
I tried this and could not replicate the results. I started with a simple 100% Shock Shield and it was completely blocked. I then tried it with the exact armor you describe. Still completely blocked. Unless it was pre-patch error or the like, I cannot see a problem. --DKong27 Talk Cont 00:41, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
