Jirolin at Rock Bottom Caverns[edit]

I used a command humanoid spell to get Jirolin to follow me and then I brought him to rock bottom caverns. Once the spell wore off he stood in place, not doing anything. I then used the wait button to wait for over a week but he still stayed in the exact same spot. I also tried bringing him into the cave itself and also waited for over a week but he still just stood in place. I had to use a command humanoid spell to bring him back to Chorrol. So it seems that the sentence "

If he was somehow led to Rock Bottom Caverns, he would spend the day hanging out there before one of his AI packages sent him back to Chorrol" on his page is not true.

I'm playing on the Xbox 360, obviously with no mods.79.97.40.245 10:22, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for testing that out. I've added a bugs section detailing what you've described. --Legoless 12:04, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Jirolin will stand around in Rock Bottom and does have a package for it, but unfortunately, he'll stand around anywhere he's put. He never does anything at all. Although he does have a package to go to the chapel for four hours a day this never comes out in his in-game behavior.
This is due to Jirolin's top-level package XXXJirolinDoranExploreBase. It tells him to stand in the same spot 24x7 as long as the quest MS17 stage is less than 40, which it will always be due to never appearing in the game. The package has the "Continue if PC near" flag set but this is moot as this flag only takes effect if the player is near when the package ends, and this one never does. Because it's the top-level package, it overrides the others.
I'll rewrite his page based on this. Feel free to tailor to requirements. :^) Kivan 03:35, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
That's why we do both CS and in-game checks, and the latter hadn't been done yet. Thanks for clearing that up though. rpeh •TCE 07:58, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
No worries. I rewrote a bit of the part above as on re-read I sounded, er, angry for some reason. Too many after-hours cappuccinos probably. :^) Also the UOP fixed Jirolin in June 2008 by getting rid of the unused MS17 stuff and just making his schedule exactly the same as Ariela's. If a Bugs section goes back it could get a UOP tag. Kivan 10:15, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
I've re-added the bugs section with a note on the overridden chapel package and the UOP fix. --Legoless 16:21, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
