Place links[edit]

These "place links" as in

{{Place Link|game=Oblivion|place=Weynon Priory (place)}}

are they considered "better style"? Because in the case of Weynon Priory they produce the full link including "(place)" which indeed looks a bit strange. I could replace it with "regular" Wiki link with a custum tag like:

[[Oblivion:Weynon_Priory_(place)|Weynon Priory]] - A small place playing a role in the main quest line

But maybe that is Frowned Upontm ? --MrMostard 10:12, 25 July 2006 (EDT)

I went ahead and set up Weynon Priory manually, so it is still using the standard description page, but is not using the Place Link template. In other words, to the reader ends up looking the right, even if someone wants to change the "official" description. This is one of those things where I think if we can upgrade the wiki it would be possible to do a much nicer solution, but in the meantime I'm resorting to whatever ugly solution does the job. --Nephele 15:18, 25 July 2006 (EDT)
And now a more elegant solution is possible, thanks to the wiki upgrade! A different name can now optionally be specified using altname, i.e.:
{{Place Link|game=Oblivion|place=Weynon Priory (place)|altname=Weynon Priory}}
