Dialogue[edit]

Does anyone have the dialogue between Aldos Othran and the guard that kills him? I think its the best speech in the game and includes perfect delivery of the Dunmer insults 'Swit' and 'Fetcher' and the rather shocking (and equally hilarious) phrase 'stick it up your backside!' AO: This is my house! Get out of the way... move, I say!
Guard: Sir, this property has been seized by his lordship, the Count of Cheydinhal. Leave immediately.
AO: I said move! Or by my ancestors I'll put you on the ground with a split lip!
Guard: Sir, I must warn you that threatening a city guardsman is an offense punishable by a fine of no less than 50 gold. Pay or be jailed.
AO: You s'wit! How dare you! Ulrich be damned! He can take his fine and stuff it up his backside!
Guard: You've been warned. You are now under arrest. Please, come with me.
AO: I'll go nowhere with you, fetcher! Nowhere!
Please don't put this on the page though. It's entirely quest-related but not important enough for that page either. –RpehTCE 06:50, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe it is time to revisit this conversation. Back in 2009, we didn't include conversations on NPC pages, but these days, we do it all the time. I also find this convo an important part of Aldos' story + it has some very funny moments. With an image showing Aldos fighting the guard (or something like that), I think this conversation would work like a charm on the NPC page. --Krusty 06:37, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Agreed. Look at me, stalking this situation all over the Wiki! ;) --Kalis Agea 06:40, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

novani?[edit]

hi i was just wondering if ovani could be his old dead wife?(you now like those people found her body or something)--GUM!!! 19:58, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

I thought about that once or twice as well. However, there is no evidence to back it up, so it's no more than mere thought and assumption. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 20:13, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Noveni Othran (considering that is who you're talking about, Ovani Othran and Novani Othran aren't people) couldn't be, because in diolouge Llevana states "He'll be buried next to his poor wife" so they have the body, and I don't think a Sober Aldos and Llevena could mistake her body for someone else.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 21:24, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Arch-Mage Matt. I did look at Llevena's dialogue, but not at her dialogue concerning Aldos' death. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 21:28, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
yeah i guess--GUM!!! 22:25, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Permanent Corpse?[edit]

Aldos is listed as a permanent corpse, but he has definitely disappeared. I'm playing the 360 GOTY edition, without SI installed yet. I've had the same thing happen with Glarthir. Ariseth 20:25, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

The answer to this question can be found here. --Krusty 15:27, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Rupert the Cliffracer?[edit]

Has anyone else noticed that the song Aldos sings shares its melody with the theme tune of an old Rupert the Bear cartoon series? Everytime I hear the cliffracer song, my head's going, "Rupert, Rupert the Bear, everyone sings his name..." Sheogorath. 80.239.242.72 05:31, 2 February 2013 (GMT)
