The ghost of Sir Gregory

Sir Gregory is an Imperial knight added by the Knights of the Nine official plug-in. He was one of the nine legendary Knights of the Nine, an order founded by Sir Amiel Lannus in 3E 111. Like most members of the order, Sir Gregory lost his life in the War of the Red Diamond somewhere between 3E 121 and 3E127. You will have to fight him during the quest Priory of the Nine.

Sir Gregory wears chainmail boots, gauntlets, greaves, and helmet. He also wears a Knight of the Nine Cuirass and carries a Knights of the Nine Shield. He wields a steel longsword in combat.

You will encounter the ghostly reincarnations of Sir Gregory and the other Knights in the Undercroft of the Priory of the Nine when you try to approach the stand holding the Cuirass of the Crusader. When Sir Amiel calls his name, Sir Gregory will step forward, draw his sword and attack you to the bitter end. After being defeated, Sir Gregory will kneel before you until all Knights have been dealt with and you finally claim the Cuirass. He will then simply stand around in the Undercroft along with the other ghosts, at times providing hints and information about the remaining relics and how to find them.

When asked about the order, he will say: "In matters of faith, one cannot be bogged down in the affairs of this world. Learn from us. Cast aside your treasures and serve the Nine." After you have spoken to Sir Juncan about the Boots of the Crusader, Sir Gregory will remark: "The boots have been guarded by Kynareth herself for the longest time. Sir Juncan went after them, and never returned." He will also provide a bit of info about Sir Henrik and his efforts to protect the Shield of the Crusader: "Sir Henrik wasn't drawn into the war as so many of us were. His mind never left the Shield."

When all is said and done, and Umaril the Unfeathered has been defeated, his tomb in the basement of the Priory of the Nine grants you Dibella's Blessing (+5 Personality) and a message from beyond the grave: "Dibella has strengthened your wit and charm. Never allow the beauty of the world to be lost on your eyes." This effect is semi-permanent: it stays in effect until you activate another of the Knights' tombs and receive a different blessing.
