Bugs/ incorrect quest description[edit]
1) the UMP doesn't fix the bug with the cabin 2) the key on the captain's body doesn't open the chest -Meisterdieb 03:22, 12 January 2009 (EST)
- 1) The UMP does fix it. If you had already discovered the shipwreck before installing the fix, then nothing will change. I'm guessing that is what happened to you.
- 2) No, it opens the cabin door as stated. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 13:14, 12 January 2009 (EST)

- Ok, I see where we got mixed up.
- ad 1) I started a fresh game with a new character (with UMP) and am now standing on the INSIDE of the cabin with a locked door. So, I have no idea why the UMP wouldn't fix this bug for me but apparently did for you.
- ad 2) the key. I wrote that it doesn't unlock the CHEST, as is stated in the "Finding the Blade" passage of the quest description. I was talking about the chest in the lower hold. -Meisterdieb 02:41, 14 January 2009 (EST)

- Are you sure you have the UMP installed and active? You have to have the Morrowind Patch ticked in the list of files you can pick in the Data Files box from the loading screen. If so, do you have the most recent version?
- I didn't spot that the key was mentioned twice. I've deleted the incorrect note. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 06:54, 14 January 2009 (EST)

- UMP does work - I had an older version installed that hadn't fixxed that bug yet. Case solved. -Meisterdieb 02:17, 15 January 2009 (EST)
