Console Code?[edit]

Can someone get me the console code for fixing the bug I listed in this quest (please)? --Palos 01:12, 13 January 2008 (EST)

I haven't tested this but it looks like Journal, IL_RescueHermit, 30 will do the trick. –RpehTCE 03:54, 13 January 2008 (EST)
It does, you just need to chat with Zennammu afterwards and everything gets back on track from there. --87.116.138.177 08:37, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
I think I found the cause of the bug, however it needs to be tested again. I was on my way to visit Zennammu the first time while I met that runaway slave and agreed to help him back to Ebonheart, and he kept following me. So it occured that I had the slave AND Assaba-Bentus in my party when I entered the yurt the second time. I think the problem was that Zennamu thought that my company is the slave, and not Assaba-Bentus. I reloaded a previous saved game, didn't speak to the slave, so the Runaway Slave quest didn't start, so I managed to finish this quest without a problem. If this is true, it would be worth to be mentioned in the articles for both quest. Cheers, Laca. — Unsigned comment by 195.144.20.210 (talk) at 09:13 on 13 January 2010
I second that. Fetched slave while walked with Assaba-Bentus. They both entered the yurt and I can't get the quest update. Assaba-Bentus have only 'keep following' and 'wait' dialogue lines even while near the witch. Definitely conflict between 2 quests. Morrowind GOTY, patched to 1.6.1820. I wish someone had edited this bug into the main article. I've just had it, instead I tried to take the slave back to Ebonheart. Still didn't fix it for me. Only the console fix seems to work. — Unsigned comment by 86.13.47.192 (talk) at 19:11 on 24 January 2015
You get the relevant journal entry when Assaba-Bentus reaches a specific spot near campfire outside, NOT inside Zennammu's yurt. The condition for it can fail randomly and the script on Assaba-Bentus has a secondary, more reliable check but it contains an error and always fails. Having more followers like the runaway slave doesn't have any influence on whether the check fails or not.
