Blindness[edit]

If you are blinded, does anyone know if night-eye will counteract the effects? Halfstache 04:55, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

If you're 100% blind, then no if makes no difference. If you're only partially blinded, it brightens up the screen again so is a bit of a help. rpeh •TCE 09:03, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Magnetude[edit]

What does the Magnetude do for Night Eye? I haven't had a chance to really try it out, and I know in latter Elder Scrolls game there are only two levels of Night Eye, having it and not having it. Noobishlord (talk) 12:57, 31 March 2015 (GMT)

It looks like it's the same: You have it or you don't. I don't see any mention on the page that mentions anything about varying magnitudes on the spell, only the line "Having everything evenly lit tends to..." also implying that there are no variable magnitudes. •WoahBro►talk 14:31, 31 March 2015 (GMT)
The magnitude does matter. The greater the magnitude, the more it increases brightness. A moderate magnitude of this spell is useful, especially if you like to keep your screen settings dark for realism (as I do). It becomes essential if you are using any lighting mod. The issues the page mentions like not being able to tell night from day only occur when using a very high magnitude of this spell (like 100). When dungeon-diving, especially if using a lighting mod, a constant effect Night Eye of about 10 points is perfect since it allows you to see without making things too bright or causing the contrast problems mentioned in the article. That's my opinion anyway. I play the game heavily modded, so your mileage may vary. -- DeJuan N. Onley (talk) 22:25, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
